Hello, could I know where to find the 660/665 Tool ?
Is possible to downgrade the firmware on the DX340?
I'm try but without successful.
Thanks!
Not possible with the iBasso app I'm afraid. It is possible using external flash tools but I can't advise on that.
What problem are you having with the current firmware?

One important thing with amp16 and PB5. The DAC gains will effect the sound signatures.

DAC gains is completely independence from the amp gain, and DAC gain by itself is already almost as a 2 in 1 DAC. I am talking about the experiences of almost as if you were to switch between AKM vs ESS kinds of differences.

In some cases, you may not observe the differences but in some cases you will. On paper and scientifically speaking, the 2 gains will provide 2 different sound signatures

Low gain = more neutral, transparences and with a more balanced lower spectrum (bass regions)

High gain = warmer, more analogs, elevated lower spectrum (sub bass and lower bass)

For pairing up with tube amps, the way I observed it from 340, whethee Line out to PB5 from amp15 or using direct amp16. The best result is to be using Low DAC gains for better synergies

For pairing up to Solid States or very very Neutral tube amps, using High DAC gain will be more idles.

The differences between DAC gains are more pronounced than the changes between DC modes vs Battery mode on the Dx340. Anyone who can observe the differences between DC input vs Batteries vs different cables, should be able to observe.

Dx340 is almost like a Swiss Knives, it can do all thing, and a lot of things, you just have to dial in correctly and know how to utilize it

Interesting. I’ve never tried the low gain.

I asked about this before and I got one response which was someone who said they don't use the Mango OS because it is so lacking in capabilities, or words to that effect.

The issue I'm raising for a second time is that in Mango OS if you go to an album via Genre, then all the tracks are listed in alphabetical order, not the order on the album. It is really bizarre I think. The tracks do play in the order on the album.

If you access the album via Artist or Albums then the tracks are in order as you'd expect.

I'm interested to know if this is how it is for other people? It is very consistent in its wrongness, but it is IMHO, very wrong :gs1000smile:

Yes that's how it shows the tracks. May be "wrong" but not an issue for me as I rarely search by genre.

Thank you for confirming that it is not a fault peculiar to my Mango OS.

What is everyone expecting from the Amp17... more power ???

Yes, hopefully. That technology is supposed to be like nano cell for amps. :)

Yes, and a dedicated 4.4mm LO will be welcome, because the AMP15's LO is rated at 2 Vrms and the AMP16's has no LO.
And it's quite frustrating that connecting my amp to the DX340 is a less powerful experience than connecting it to the DX260 or DX180, which I believe LO has about 4 Vrms. I'm looking forward to the AMP17's specs!
