I powered off the player each time i took out the amp card or swapped it. I also rebooted with the amp card in. Yeah… not liking what’s happening here. I think it needs to be replaced.

Just got a confirmation from Paul that AMP16 doesn't have line out. Only AMP14 and AMP15 have.
So this changes things for me.
Right now I'm amble to just listen straight out of the PO of AMP14 and also connected PB5 to the LO of AMP14, so life is great :)
With AMP16 I wouldn't have the ability to do LO towards PB5.

Now I really need to read some comparison feedback between AMP14 and AMP16 before deciding to PTT on the latter

Does anyone know if you can use the DX340 with the HiBy CR 06 dock via the USB C out to connect to an external DAC via optical?

The more I read into amp16, the more I think that class AB is using dual channel dual opamp as input buffer stages and tube mode is using dual tubes JAN6418.

It makes more senses when class AB has wider staging than tube modes.

Anyways, amp16 is the first portable amp that id heated Pentodes for a player, which even Max lines up cant have lol

UPDATE: yes, the 340 can stream digital audio out its usb c port, based on @Bengkia369 reply below….

The 340 also uses its usb C port for charging its batteries, for receiving digital audio streams from a PC (in usb DAC mode), to connect to a PC as an SD card reader or external storage device, or to connect to an OTG storage device to play music files stored on that device.

So, you’re asking if the 340 can output digital audio streams from its usb C Port? I don’t think that is possible……The 340 uses its usb C port for charging its batteries, for receiving digital audio streams from a PC (in usb DAC mode), to connect to a PC as an SD card reader or external storage device, or to connect to an OTG storage device to play music files stored on that device.

The USB C is not only for charging etc.
Ibasso DAPs can digital output via USB C or Coax. You can connect to a external DAC.

Ok thanks 👍🏼 it’s been a long day for me…not sure what I was thinking. 🙃

Maybe something is telling me I should actually get a DAP. 😋 Yet, most of my music listening/enjoyment is at home with my desktop/transportable audio gear. My phone is my streaming device, but I do have iBasso D16, PB5, and DC Elite…love them all!!

Finally pulled the trigger on DX340. What is the best way to burn in? Can I plugin both usb c and dc 12v and let it play music overnight?

Congratulations! Personally for me, I preferred to listen with it as it burn in so that I can enjoy the process. It's part of the enjoyment too to notice the changes of sound during burning in.
Yes you can plug it as what you mentioned during burn in too, no issues with that.

Thank you. Yes, Im listening most of the time. And when I'm at work, I want to let it burn in that way.

I never understand why people would “burn in” without listening. How could you know, or think there are changes, if you don’t listen.
