As mentioned a few times in this thread the ddHifi CZ180 leather pouch can fit the DX340 (if you manipulate the velcro dividers a little and it has space to put your rolled IEMs in the front compartment flaps too!
I made a post a few weeks ago regarding the compact DDhifi carry pouch.
It fits the DX340 great if you manipulate the velcro dividers a little.
Has zippers to block dust from getting in and the leather feels nice.
EDIT: I forgot to show the front flap compartment which has slots and other mini pouches, aliexpress listing photos don't show that flap either, you can technically roll up your IEMs and leave them on the front flap compartment too.
AB mode sounds about the same to my ears on amp16 compare to 15th. The tube mode does sound warmer and less analytical. I prefer AB mode.
Nevertheless, great amp.
Finally had the chance to try my good old AMP12EXN-S module in the DX340 (after advanced tweaks and debloating) and without the old firmware hissing problems.
I have to say, AMP12EXN-S is mighty impressive on the DX340. Mine was modded a few years ago without swapping op amps.
In contrast with stock AMP15, AMP12EXN-S has impressive dynamics, better soundstage placement in my opinion and slightly better clarity overall.
It's a shame that there is so much high pitched hissing with AMP12 on the DX340 using IEMs, on low AMP gain it is still audible in the quite part of songs and very apparant on HIGH Amp gain. Otherwise I would be using AMP12EXN-S every day.
This shows that an modded amp will be the biggest upgrade to sound quality on the DX340 and that you shouldn't quickly rush to judge the DX340 sound unless you have tried other amp cards because the potential is not fully understood yet.
Has anyone had the chance to demo whitigir's AMP15 MUSE mode yet? I know it was brought to Can Jam 2025 NYC by a friend of whitigir's but I did not have a chance to visit this year.
NPAudio would be another option for modding as well but I have corresponded with Steve and he tells me that he has not yet had a DX340 sent to him yet and was busy dealing with some legal business with Sony UK (which was why he took his website down temporarily) and has been preoccupied with family-related things.

Is the hiss only with sensitive iems or all iems you’ve listened to so far? It must be a personal thing/pet peeve with regards to noise floor hiss, or else every 340 owner would be bringing this up….Many times, it’s the recording of the music we listen to that has background hiss.
How do these two cards compare in respect to power output? Could it just be that the amp15 card has more gain than amp12exn-s, thus having a higher noise threshold level?

No this is an innevitable high pitched "SSSHHHHHHH" sound when you use IEMs with AMP12 on the DX340. Something to do with mismatched impedance between the module and the player or something.
With headphones it is not noticeable at all but with IEMs you will always hear it even on my Anni 2023 which are very low sensitivity IEMs.
AMP12 I think is actually more powerful than AMP15 (without Super Gain in the equation).
I had no hiss at any gain with Monarch MKIII, but with the Clara (which are very sensitive I think), I'm getting background hiss on both amp15 and 16, even at low gain. At low gain it's barely audible with the Clara and you can only hear it during pauses or before playing music.
The sound on all of them though, is great IMO (although my amp 16 hasn't gone through a full burn in yet).
That hiss was firmware glitch-related which I fixed by deleting the older flash partition and reflashing the latest firmware via QFIL.
It was an intermittent hiss that was audible regardless of IEM sensitivity.
I didn’t mean that post (the firmware glitch)….I’m talking about your post above (on this page)….3rd paragraph, 1st sentence: “It's a shame that there is so much high pitched hissing with AMP15 on the DX340 using IEMs,”
