Please make post about affordable LPSU options. If you have sorry I didn't see it. I do want a LPSU as I am getting some noise when using DC-In plugged into AMP card. When no music is playing I can hear it. Super Gain is absolute best for SQ.
I am very easy to please as I enjoy several genres. Just so long as the Analogues energetic energies and density are there. Whatever signatures will work just fine. I care more about timbres and tonal density, resonances
Who knows, if you like the smoothness of the previous original in comparisons, stay with it, want more airiness and clarity, it is an upgrade for sure
I am going to try the firehouse trick 1st and take you guys word that tuning will still be to my liking. If not I will have to wait until Paul gets back from holiday break to get IMG of current FW to return it back. I am having strange charging issues so would like that fixed and guessing new FW will do that.
I left mine plugged in while I slept and used burn cable - no change while I was sleeping in sound - and it was 95% plugged in and dropped to 84% while still plugged in while I was sleeping. That should not have happened. I restarted it when I woke up and it started charging finally. Just very strange.
Fiio QCC is horrible. Ibasso needs to make one and guessing they will. I will email Paul after he gets back and request it and hope others do as well as I see myself using this DAP in DC-IN most of the time.
I use it portable all the time now. Sure the DX260 is great as well but I even hike in the mountains around here with it, and not talking about trail stuff, cross country. No issue really and crazy sound to be able to have it portable.
I can see why you want to take everywhere now. Now with some burn-in I am in absolute love. I will consider taking out and about with me. Used to its weight now. DX340 blows the DX260 away effortlessly. DX320 is just a toy compared to it. Too bad DC-IN can't be portable as it sounds so damn good.
Just picked up mine today, listening to it without burn-in on U4s and I'm very impressed! Analogue and warm sound yet detailed as everybody described. Will post some updates later when I had some more time with it. Really curious how the Radiance will sound on it.
Oh, and the screen is gorgeous! I think that's a great benefit!
Ps: I have a Fiio LPSU. I will try it this weekend, after I get an adapter for it.
