Let us know how much you love it. Only had it 24 hours and 70% of those hours I have been using it. I can't get enough. I have to hear all my collection because of all the micro-details I have never heard before. I have off work the rest of the week so can indulge in sonic perfection but will be suffering major withdrawals next week.I asked about this yesterday. There's many pages to go through and it didn't appear when I searched key words.
Thanks for writing this. This helps me.
This DAP is a buy for me in this case.

Any issues with the update? Did it change the SQ/tuning in anyway?FYI. I need to extract the zipped file, and place it on an SD card (mounted to the DX340) for Local Update to work.
Worth trying if the update won't start for you straight from the zipped file.

Haven't listened to it, but I wouldn't expect any audible changes. No issues setting it up again after factory resetting. Just wanted a clean slate.Any issues with the update? Did it change the SQ/tuning in anyway?

I'll have a listen in a moment, I always check for this since the DAC filters can be secretly tweaked.
Let me know when you try it. With DX320 there were changes in tuning with some of the FWs. I got the IMG FW now too. That is what I am going to use.Haven't listened to it, but I wouldn't expect any audible changes. No issues setting it up again after factory resetting. Just wanted a clean slate.

Time to do some rooting !!! Yayyy, possibly Bypassing Roon certificate checking?Let me know when you try it. With DX320 there were changes in tuning with some of the FWs. I got the IMG FW now too. That is what I am going to use.
Please post a thread for optimizing and firmware mods

Do me a favor and update the FW and do detailed analysis of sound. I do NOT want any differences from the current FW. Once you do that I will flash mine and Root and optimize and update guides after some testing.Time to do some rooting !!! Yayyy, possibly Bypassing Roon certificate checking?

The new firmware appears to tighten up the mid bass, overall textures and resolution edginess. It allows more airiness for EDM genres and even faster in pace compares to the previous one.Do me a favor and update the FW and do detailed analysis of sound. I am listening with UAPP btw and H5
Overall, the neutral signature is still remaining the same, just staging, resolution and airiness are improved. You could say that the last firmware was Smooth VS this one the clarity, sparklings, extensions and resolutions.
The same can be said for DC mode. It loses some of the analogues but still not to the point of fake and digitalizing all organic instruments. But those upper mid and upper trebles are to die for!! So is the Brass and Wind instruments
It is a huge jump toward clarity and edginess IMO. No sibilant still!! Magic!!

Can agree. Mega Drive is sounding excellent! Clear, resolving, tight, fast and lots of bass impact. The new firmware appears to tighten up the mid bass, overall textures and resolution edginess. It allows more airiness for EDM genres and even faster in pace compares to the previous one.

I compared to my Mojo 2 / Poly stack and at least on this album DX340 is the clear favorite. Mojo 2 sounds slow and overly warm and loose in the bass in direct comparison (and I love my Mojo 2).
Using native Qobuz app and Filter 1 with CFA Darkstar.

Yeah I think I notice a bit more airiness, it's not too drastic but you can notice it a bit.

It scales much more obvious with LPSU if you use oneYeah I think I notice a bit more airiness, it's not too drastic but you can notice it a bit.

You are saying it is an improvement for sure? I am REALLLY happy with current tuning. I am going to try a trick of using latest FW IMG firehose and root current FW first. Worst case I have to hold power button for a min and flash new FW if DAP does not boot. In past I tried using DX260 IMG firehose with DX320 and caused it to not boot but I was able to fix.The new firmware appears to tighten up the mid bass, overall textures and resolution edginess. Please make post about affordable LPSU options. If you have sorry I didn't see it. I do want a LPSU as I am getting some noise when using DC-In plugged into AMP card. When no music is playing I can hear it. Super Gain is absolute best for SQ.It scales much more obvious with LPSU if you use one![]()

I am very easy to please as I enjoy several genres. Just so long as the Analogues energetic energies and density are there. Whatever signatures will work just fine. I care more about timbres and tonal density, resonancesYou are saying it is an improvement for sure? I am REALLLY happy with current tuning. Who knows, if you like the smoothness of the previous original in comparisons, stay with it, want more airiness and clarity, it is an upgrade for sure
