@Stouthart / whitigir thanks a lot for your great work!! The machine is blazing fast now and the sound is even more sublime!! The script installed new apps (Android Switch; Android System Key Verifier; Andoird System SafetyCore and Android System WebView). They aren't visliblie in the app drawer. Could you give a short explanation what they are doing? I'm just curious...:)
Thanks for the feedback!

None of the scripts install new apps...would never do that. That is Play Store running in the background. I have also seen those packages myself and may add them to the debloating script in a next version. Btw Android System WebView is a system package, that should not be removed.

Many thanks for the work put into this! Quick question though, I use Roon Arc and it works great, but if I want to update the app, what commands would I need to enter to enable the Play Store?
Can be found (hidden) in the source code of the debloat script, but here it is (run from Command prompt, may require a reboot):

adb shell cmd package enable com.google.android.gms
adb shell cmd package enable com.android.vending

Perfect, thanks!

Perfect, thanks!
Actually...it should also be possible to enable them via Settings > Apps (both Play Services & Play Store)

I'm using Neutron and UAAP the most. Can I disable Play services & Play Store or is it necessary that these services are activated to use these apps properly? (after running the script it's now possible to disable these in the app settings...great!). Sorry for the flood of questions :-)

Don't know about Neutron, but UAPP requires Play Store to be enabled.

UAPP queues Google Play Services/Store maybe 3 times upon exiting and opening the app after you install it for the first time but after that I don't think it checks anymore.

I do use regular Roon on the dx340 without issue, resampling aside, still sounds great to me
Same here. I guess I don't know enough to understand the importance of the certification -- for now, Roon works great on the DX340 for me, too.

Once/if certified, the resampling to 48khz(?) doesn’t happen, will play bit perfect. Luckily for this purpose I don’t have golden ears

Ahh, okay, thanks. Like you it might now make much difference to my old ears, but I'd certainly prefer it be bit perfect.
