Do the wipe in recovery mode!!! IT does a complete job vs in system menu. Do it 3 times for good measure. That is the 1st thing I did when I got mine.

So via the power off / hold forward key / etc route?

Yes or you can hold that button and while holding hit restart option and keep holding until you get into Recovery

People keep asking me for it so here it is. This are all the commands you can copy and paste into console of AdbAppControl: https://adbappcontrol.com/en/ I have all these disabled on my 340 and no issues. Note BT is disabled and I have another KB app installed. You do NOT need root. You must enable Developer mode by tapping build until it says you are a developer and then enable USB Debugging in developer options to use app. Only works in Windows PCs but you can disable all these on DAP itself.

With all the issues you are having I would re-flash with 660 Tool/Qfil. I will post link once I get what I have working or if Paul gives me another link. That is the BEST way to apply FW and only way I will do it.

Bloom Audio review:

Steve says one the reasons people may not appreciate the DX340, or consider it unviable is because of the size & weight, OK that may be valid, but I just came back from a multi city trip across Canada - check out my iBasso Stack. Now, this set up has got girth! I took my old cell phone, and with mounting tape stuck a 5000mAmp powerbank to the back of it and using another strip of clear mounting tape stuck the Elite case to the battery. Then I can slide the Elite in and out if I want to use with PC or somewhere eles. So far I've got 18 hours of listening out of this rig and haven't needed to charge the phone or the power bank yet. When I heard this little Elite, properly powered, it blew my mind. As far as I'm concerned it runs circles around every other DAP I've heard and or owned - Sony, Shanling, Lotoo, AK. If I can take this stack on the road, the 340 ain't gonna be a problem at all. And with everything I've been reading here, I think that 340 may be the portable music device, I've waited my whole life for. Mine shows up next Thursday, just in time for my next road trip the week following - very excited. And then I can disassemble this stack!

All you need is a way to use super gain and you will have it all. That mode is like crack! Once you hear it you are forever hooked :) Suggestion throw away the TimeCrap cable and use an Ares S1 or SII. It will clean up the muddy bass on your Bonny.

The size is not bad but it is heavy but small trade off for such awesome on the go SQ!! At least you have something on you that you can defend yourself with. I am sure it would do some damage if thrown at someone lol.

Nice sandwich.
If you value the sound of the dc elite, you're on the right track. I think the elite has some things in common with the DX340.
It's a great product (the best dongle I've ever had), and its sound far exceeds its value, far above mid-priced DAPs. I know it's a big generalization, but I won't describe the features of the dc elite, because I've done it many times. I sold it because of the convenience of use.

The DX340 is a higher class, and the sound is refined to the point of absurdity:relaxed:. It's heavy, but it's a heavyweight and to be honest, that's the least of my problems.

The SP3000M, for example, is a small and much lighter DAP, but that doesn't mean it's convenient to use.

The most important thing is that the 340 is sonically the highest level. I listen to my music anew. In the future, for relatively little money, you'll be able to update the sound with new modules (I expect them to be just as great).

If I had to make the decision again today, I would choose the DX340 and spend the remaining funds on the highest quality headphones.

The DX340 is a master of releasing potential and discovering the deepest musical secrets :smirk:.

Like I said everything on my collections sounds great on 340 be it iems or headphones. Also 340, you can also replace batteries yourself with ease while other DAPs from other brands don't offer this feature. 😅

Could not have said it better myself!! Once my DX260 is gone I am going to promote the DX340 in my signature as I feel that strongly about it. What do you think of the new FW tuning?

Exactly! Why spend over $2k on a DAP that you can't change the battery yourself? This way as it starts to degrade over a year or so you can replace vs live with a diminished battery. Just love how it renders female vocals! So beautiful.

Female vocals are just darn nice on the 340!

I described my impressions here:
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/dx3...-page-v1-01-local-update.974099/post-18547172

I even made two attempts at DX260, but it did not convince me. It's ok in its segment, but I had a bigger appetite.
DX340 blows the DX260 away!!! I can't stand listening with it now. 340 all the way. There are some people who can't afford $1800 (with tax inc) and a used DX260 for $600s is not bad. My 340 is only getting better with more hours.

You mean new FW ver is even more holographic than orig FW? I have to get done with burn-in first before even thinking of updating. Have to know well how the current ver sounds.
