DX180/340 optimization guide has been updated. You now can have both max perf and battery save modules installed at same time but only enable 1 at a time. This allows you to easily switch to battery saver version if you need best battery life right from DAP itself as Max Perf has aggressive Stune which will run cores near max frequency if playing music. I do not think I will be making any major changes in future. Flash guide was updated recently as well. Please make sure you are using latest versions from links and not a saved downloaded version.

My solution is for those that wish to root but allows you complete freedom to make modifications per your own preferences - NO copyright as long as you abide by license in modules which allows modifications. I will be testing on a DX320 in future. There is nothing hard coded SOC/CPU wise in modules which are dealt with SmartPack which is set on DAP itself in the app.

If you have applied Stouthart's Advanced tweaks you will need to flash before rooting. I recommend flashing anyway so you have clean slate to start with.

Dumb question: where can I get an AMP14 module for the DX340? The ones I see online are black or blue and have rounded corners to fit the DX300/320 DAPs bodies. thanks in advance guys😎
You need to get the plates for 340 in 4.4mm holes.

The combination of these three items is truly remarkable. The resulting vocals, strings, piano, drums. Mind melting. The dac of the 340 is something to behold, the amp is the limit.

Cannot agree more regarding the DX340/EA4 combo. Both hardware are completing each other perfectly.

I am using this with the Novus.

CV pushes the vocals forward, thicker tones, mid range texture is intense, CC pulls back the vocals, the tone is lighter, the space is bigger. But it loses some bite.

For me, it would be PB5 :)! It is a little too insane of the amp. The Korg tubes has it own batteries and easily swapable battery. Barely heat up even when wrapped in the blanket

How long (hours) did it take for your EA4 to complete the burn-in process? Thanks!

General guideline for tubes is at least 200 hours. I usually burn everything for 2 weeks.

Just curious has anyone directly compared AMP13/14 with AMP16? I have an AMP14 which I love and am considering getting an AMP13 just to complete the collection. I haven't heard a AMP16 yet either.
