Would love to see all this in a guide explaining what all of it does. I am willing to try it on my 2nd 340 once I get back from Bloom.
The most important steps have been document since December 29th. Just do a factory reset, enable USB debugging, and follow the steps from this post. For most of us, this may already provide sufficient battery life.

I can try when I get my 2nd 340 back. Then can compare. I can't be without Super gain so have to have battery source anyway so may as well do bypass all the time and not use internal battery at all except when booting etc. Using the adapter supplied and powering off grid is a crime against humanity. The difference in SQ when not on grid is big with super gain. Way too much noise on grid.

Am I doing something wrong? (as far as charging goes that is  )

(EDIT: I changed cables... it was the cable)

still, its weird, the cable does charge everything else i plug it into

anyway, tomorrow my Noire X will be delivered, i think it and the 340 will come with me on holliday (along some IEMs)
Hi. How does your DX340 get along with the Noire X?

Way more than that, especially some sysctl/kernel/network tweaks. But no rooting...device is already "pre-rooted" out of the box.
Now this sounds really intriguing

Now that i have purchased this masterpiece of musical playment(LOL) i am thinking about selling my dx300. Just wondering if i should keep any of the amps. I have the 11,12,13. Just wondering if any of these is worth keeping for the 340. Thanks

Amp14 is by far the only one that is desirable :) for 340 IMO

I would like to ask a question when the 12v power supply is connected to a 220v wall socket does the dx340 not recharge the battery?
In addition, if I listen to the dx340 with the 12v power supply, it is naturally working without using the battery. Is this correct?

The 12V is just to power the amplifier. Imagine your amplifier from within the 340 is plugged directly to the AC. It will not be using the battery.

Once plugged in, you will see green icon on top left corner. Go to Mango Player and flick on DC Super Gain to run it this way

It will absolutely not be charging the battery. You need usb C for charging as it will drains battery from DAC section

Rooting takes literally 10 mins and then you have complete access to do whatever you want using an app(s) vs command line. I did try some of the tweaks from that post on my cell phones and they have sped both up - boot and app launch are better but still testing. Believe it or not I have not optimized my cell phones. Can't run ADB Root as they are cell phones.

@Gerardo Trezza I do NOT recommend using 12V DC IN with grid power. You will not get the best SQ. Either LPSU or battery bank.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CB1DTFT6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 is what I will be testing next. It has 1 Lithium Polymer batteries which is same as internal DX340 so battery noise should be near same.

A bit off topic, but anyone got a recommendation for a decent 2 pin 0.78mm IEM cable with either a short or right angle TS connector? Either 3.5 or 4.4.
I've been using Tripowin Zonie, but the TS connector is on the big/long side and while having the the DX340 in my pocket, it's putting side pressure on the connector and port.

P.S.: this was less of a problem with the DX180, due to the smaller size of the DAP. Since the DX340 is much bigger, it causes more pressure on the cable connector
