The Ac cord I have. That is a very standard cord. I already own devices that use that same cord.Yup, it's a fancier 12V plug that feeds from the LPSU into AMP15.
But I don't think this LPSU comes with an A/C plug I gotta go get a separate one.

I recommend Pangeas
Pangea Audio AC-14 Audiophile Power Cable AC Cord Upgrade for Audio, Video and Electronic Gear 3 Prong
Also, buy silicone feets for LPSU, if you want to be meticulous
Holy cow I remember those monstrously thick and stiff cables!!!
I think a have a couple of AC-9SE cables laying around somewhere back from my desktop audio days.
Has the Amp12exn improved any with the firmware update?Holy cow I remember those monstrously thick and stiff cables!!!

Are you able to comfortably drive it without using the DC plug? I don’t mind using the DC plug but my goal is a true portable closed back solution.Closed Caldera is quite nice on the 340 and pb5
Anyone tried the E3 with DX340? Looking for a “portable” closed back solution.
Just tried E3, Stealth and Noire X, amp15 high gain require maxing of volume for these DCA headphones and the sound is sharp.

Listening to Monteverdi’s “Lamento della ninfa”, an italian madrigal in the Castlevania’s tv series version.
The rendition on the dx340 is so beautiful, emotional, mesmerizing. The acoustic guitar overtones, the warmth of the voice, the soundstage. Pure emotions, pure magic. Chills. And this with my mega5est, I can’t imagine with my more resolving iems..
Special Dap this dx340.

Closed Caldera is easily run by this couple… Smooth listening, I don’t think I miss anything…
Need to listen more to my Noire X, they deserve a proper chance

Dear iBasso,
I hope the Amp16 is of a different tier to the Nunchaku.

Have you heard/tested Nunchaku? I've been reading about mixed reviews over on Taobao listings but nothihg as of now on Head-Fi...I do have a couple of Discovery Threaders who are getting one so we should know more soon enough.Dear iBasso,

Yes, there are subtle changes in the right direction. You mean new FW ver is even more holographic than orig FW?
After the update, I did not read other reviews on the subject, so as to avoid suggestions and evaluate it properly with my ears. So the only factor causing a possible error in the assessment is my own autosuggestion - subjective judgment.
I certainly would not worry that the new software has a bad effect on the sound.
I think I've put it properly here:

That said. There is the possibility the tubes need burn in.

Having had all 3 of those cans I’d say the X is able to be powered by the many portable daps or DAC/amps I’ve had (even DC-Elite) to good levels and with a full sound but I found the E3 and most certainly the Stealth to require legit desktop power. High Current especially for those two.Just tried E3, Stealth and Noire X, amp15 high gain require maxing of volume for these DCA headphones and the sound is sharp.
I’d hope the 340/X play well together as they do with so many other devices including the Mojo 2 as recommended by Dan. Are you using the 4.4mm output on the 340?

4.4mm of cos, true X possible to drop to 80s volume but sounds strained.

Matt swears the Super High Gain mode will wash & wax your car so I’d try that if you haven’t.4.4mm of cos, true X possible to drop to 80s volume but sounds strained.
Btw for anyone reading my comments and joking back and forth with Matt know I’m joking and he’s trustworthy for sure here and very experienced with iBasso so again, trust. I do.

Yeah it came with a quality cord, don't think i will swap out.Just purchased the LHY 80W LPSU, I don't care if it's overkill.
At least there won't be any hissing or jitter anymore in Super Gain
btw @ToneDeafMonk
I know you purchased the same LPSU from the same seller on Aliexpress, did your unit come with the A/C power cable?
If not, did you just use whatever A/C cable you had laying around or did you just buy a random on on Amazon?
