So far, I really like the Valentinum case. Great quality and adds a lot of protection versus the stock case. The only minor thing to note is that you need to adjust the volume from the bottom and it adds a bit of bulk.

Hi all,
I have had my DX340 for a month now and it was well worth the jump from the DX320
I am using my AMP12EXN-S with OPA1655 opamps. I'm using the Empire Ears Odyssey which has a sensitivity of 100dB @ 1kHz, 1mW. This sounds amazing and out performs AMP15 easily (more to follow on comparisons) There is very little hiss between track and non to be heard on the actual tracks :-) I have found DAC set to low and amp gain to high gives me the best results (H2 filter) If I use DAC gain high there is now an auditable hiss but I did not like the general sound with the DAC on high gain with these IEMs.

@Stouthart thank you for your tweaks, I have run them all and I have not run into any problems running my favourite apps.
BUT I do have one question:- I have ran the battery down and recharged again about 5 times now and it looks stable BUT I have a battery percentage difference between Mango system and Android system? In Mango mode it is showing 50% and in Android it is showing 14%?? Has anyone else seen this?

Cheers :beerchug: and thank you for all the helpful information this board has given me :L3000:

Hello, and sorry for the interruption.
This has probably been discussed before, but this thread is 390 pages long and it is complicated to find such a precise info!
I read someone mentioning a power bank (like the Ankr 737 for example) + a Type-C PD to 12V DC cable as a valid option for the DX340.
Can any of you comment on this? Would it be a noiseless option? Thanks for the help!

For me, with Fiio fx17 in supergain: no noise

So I've had my DX340 for about 3 weeks now and had some misc ancillary issues if I were to switch around some settings, but for the most part, if I were to just stick to a setting, I've been able to listen and have been burning in my amps. @Paul - iBasso has been a real standup guy in offering a replacement after I've sent some videos of the issues I had. So I'd like to thank Paul very much for a top quality post sales support service here. I've further decided to invest in getting the AMP14 in addition to the stock AMP15 and AMP16 I had bought earlier.

Not receiving the AMP14 yet but have been putting in both the AMP15 and AMP16 through respective burn-ins (approx 250 hrs each), I have to say that I'm very much enjoying the sounds from the AMP16 by far over the AMP15. To my ears, the AMP16 has a very full sounding, organic signature that gives the whole sound character. Meanwhile the on the DAC side, it presents and articulates details in vocals and instruments with such clarity.

One obvious noticeable factor of my situation of "skipping Head-Fi" for a few years is that I get to hear the big jump from the NW-WM1Z to the DX340 in each DAP's detail retrieval capabilities. I didn't have the opportunity to listen to other DAPs between 2018 -> 2025 and dd not experience the gradual exposure of incremental improvements. So going from the NW-WM1Z which served me well for many years, was big jump to the DX340.

You will have to use the usba to charge the dx340 on the anker 737 and use a usbc to dc cable with the dc input. There are still some issues with PD charging on the 340. It is picky on what type of pd/usbc chargers it will work properly with. The 737 will charge cycle unless you use a usbc a to usbc cable. As far as noise I hear none at with any source even using the dc 120v plug.

I agreed! I have had people asking me whether 340 is a worthy upgrades from 1Z/M2. I have always said that, it is worth every penny. But personal preferences come to play. It is always the best bet to listen to it and decide. IMO, the 340 is right now the top candidate as far as price/performances is going.

The whole tariff scenarios are sad. I hope everything will work out sooner than later

I put a lot of work into this review and decided that, due to an overlap between AMP16 and Nunchaku designs, it makes sense to combine these reviews together, especially when doing sound and pair-up analysis. It's a long read, but everything is partitioned to make it easy to follow. Enjoy this AMP16 vs Nunchaku review :)

Does it have Widevine support!?!?!?!

It should support L3 (my DX180 does). I have yet to see any DAP with L1 support.
