Does DX260 slide out of official green iBasso case when you insert cable? Because there is no case support on top side
No. Not 100% new. Effectively all of the supporting circuits are very likely the same. The Qualcomm 660 is probably what they can no longer source hence the move to 665 which is still widely used and available. The 8 DAC chips remain the same. The sound characteristics are very likely to be the same as well. The case appears to be the same. Same screen. Memory gets the UFS controller used in the rest of the line but faster ram really doesn't make or break a DAP. iBasso has made some tweaks to Android 13 on the DX180 and DX340 but not extensive. It's simply time to update the middle tier to 13. See the DX340 thread for several different philosophies applied to further reducing CPU load to reduce noise.Does it mean that 128gb version is 100% new one? With 665 and android 13?
Not at all. The green case fits really tight. No movement.Does DX260 slide out of official green iBasso case when you insert cable? Because there is no case support on top side
That's great! I've had this issue with Cayin N6-iii case, it's wasn't tightly fitting. Not at all. The green case fits really tight. No movement.
I sold my 260 only lost £60 out of what I paid.
There is no other DAP in the mid range that has low impdience and more then 9 hours battery other then the DX180. The Fiio M21 comes close but its not that much more for DX180 which contains better DACs. So I ended up ordering DX180 from aliexpress. hopefully it actually arrives and does not take 3 to 4 weeks.
Yeah I dont stream or EQ much so not biggy for me. I suspect the DX180 will sound better then the M21 in most cases due to the DACs being better.I just wish iBasso would add "Roon Ready" support and system-wide PEQ so it would compete better with M21 features.
That is not bad. I had both 180 and 260 at same time. 260 had bit better details but not worth the price difference. 340 ruined the 260 for me but it costs a lot more and heavy. Not a Dap I could take to the beach. Maybe they tuned the mk2 a bit differently.I sold my 260 only lost £60 out of what I paid.

Don't hold your breath. The foundation of Roon software development doesn't allow them to escape Android SRC. They are now 10 years down this path and I don't see them changing to native development tools for each platform they support but who knows, maybe Harman will make the move at some point.I just wish iBasso would add "Roon Ready" support and system-wide PEQ so it would compete better with M21 features.

I suppose they could call it 'Roon Ready' but I doubt you'll get anything different than running the client as you can right now.
I use Roon (for 8 years now) on my main, shop and back yard systems but keep my DAP using only native apps with download support for offline use. ARC is a crapshow still and a huge power/battery killer, in my attempts to use it on DAP and iPhone.
Symfonium is a pretty good Roon substitute for Android DAPs. Gives a lot of the look and feel as well as DSP options. It's ~$6 one time.
Ok. Not sure why they wouldn't apply it to all Android then. Regardless, I've enjoyed being detethered from Roon as I've used it for too long and very much like the native streaming apps, Radio Paradise (with ratings and skipping, offline access), etc.Newer FiiO DAPs are "Roon Ready" and certified by Roon (similar to A&K). These are bit-perfect and fully functional Roon endpoints using the RAAT protocol. It's not the same thing as the Roon Control app or Roon ARC.
