Yeah, that's specifically the difference between the Cirrus Logic 43198 and ESS 9038 DAC chips max sample rate.

Look at the size of DX300 vs DX240 which I think is based on slick DX160. There won't be enough room for dual batteries. And, from what I heard from Paul, to slim down and to make old amp1-8 compatible with DX240, you have to remove pwb from original modules and connect it to a new faceplate, assuming modules will be open now like in DX300.
