Until I read the reply by Musin, it's a stock amp8...

This is hilarious. iBasso should add a Amp card adapter. By the way, where's it possible to buy AmP8 in Europe?

What was the reason behind us not being able to use AMP9 with the dx240 again? If it was because of clearance what if we remove its housing?

Such a weird choice by iBasso... to make a player to use the amp cards, but the cards have to be put in a different housing. And then make the player's chassis so that one of the best and most unique amp cards won't fit. Why not just design it from the get-go so that ALL of the amp cards work?

So, I'm out... the only reason I still use a DX220 is because I like the sound of Amp9... despite the frustratingly slow laggy Mango UI.

You misunderstood the reason for that picture. There will be nothing exposed, ibasso will make Adapter plates.
That picture exists only to illustrate that yes amp8 fits no problem nothing more. Where are you getting that it stays open like that.

Well that's good news. Picture was for reference purposes showing that it does indeed work with 240 but production units will be covered.

I basso should be in the process of making adapter plate now to accommodate the Amp8 chassis to fit. It would be a good idea to offer it as an optional stock purchases and ship them all together.
