That’s 5888 CNY, not yen, so around 913 USD as mentioned above.

I'm curious how the AmP1-8 will fit and look. From PR pictures the DX240 have a curve bottom as opposed to the previous amp cards. Black will be a better match to the AmP cards either but I'm digging the green color. Also the back looks to be frosted glass instead of plastic.

Concerning amps and backwards compatibility - i am also scratching my head. Will it come with several types of amp case? And you transfer the boards from the earlier amps into the newer case? No idea.

Ehh... my whole reason for not getting a DX300 is specifically because iBasso has no DX300 equivalent to Amp9 yet. So a DX240 that can't use Amp9 would be of little value to me... unless it was significantly less expensive than a DX300. In which case I might would consider going back to Amp8.

If the DX240 is going to accept the old modules, I wonder if AMP1 MKIII would work in the DX220. But I doubt it would be available as a stand alone module.

For now, it seems the bottom plate on the new amp8 will change in order to fit into the 240.
The 220 overall width is actually narrower than the 240
(left: amp8 220, right: amp1 iii)
