Well, yes, I expect that I personally want a little lighter. With updates, sometimes these players get successively heavier and some get lighter. My preference would be less than 150g but I know that isn’t happening. But for players over 200g they can start creeping towards 300g, which I have no interest in.

As long as it sound quality justifies the weight, would have no issues either. Tbh would carry a 1kg dap around with me every day, everywhere. If could do some mod to my 220 and it be 1kg in weight, afterwards would happily do it, without a second thought.

The weight would not be an issue for me 815gr give it here. Especially with all the extra power and analog volume.
But realistically can not afford any of the maxes. Was already planning on saving up for a second hand dx220 max, but with this announcement am more exited and actually waiting for the dx240 more(not gonna be cheap but at least can afford one).

I don't stream, so have no need/want for Android, but I'm still interested. Battery life will be very important to me. I go in just presuming this will be a nice-sounding device, so I'll consider a bunch of ancillary variables most consciously.

I wouldn't expect stellar battery with the ES9038PRO DAC...

It's imagine it's tied to the fact it had a glass panel. So it may be a matter of it can't physically fit/work. Rather than not being recognized by the device.
