After evaluating DAPs and IEMs, I decided to go with the DX220 w/Amp9 and the IT04s as delivery should take place no later than Thursday for both. I was particularly drawn to the DX220 because of the ability to swap out amps to get a different sonic signature and the legendary support Ibasso show their customers. That is what I gleaned from the Ibasso threads here.

How are you guys and gals enjoying the Amp9? I've never had tube equipment before so this should be a different listening experience for me. However, I've heard tube equipment before and always liked the type euphoric sound it produced. Will this be possible with the Amp9 and does burn-in really have an effect?

Sorry, what’s idea of your setup? How will come sound into BA300?

I whant to know if it sounds good as a combination with those 2.

I know folks praise am9 but wondered if if dx228+ba300s sounds better vs dx229

Hi Paul, I have questions about the quick charge of DX220

1) I get quickcharge with some Samsung-Huawei USB-C cables but not with the provided iBasso cable. Is this intented?
2) Quickcharge works on Andorid mode but I am unsure about if it works work on Mango mode or when turned off . Does it?
3) Quckcharge is inconsistent, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Are there adaptors/cables you suggest for flawlessly quickcharging DX220?

Thanks

Thanks gannjunior, you prompted me to get my AMP9 back out and try again, I couldn't live with the waterfall hiss, but it is so much improved I think I can give it another go now. There goes my Sunday afternoon :)
Hi Max
let me know your feedback about this when you 'll have tried :)

Like others I had purchased amp9 but soon became frustrated with the sound signature when using with my IEM's IT04 or Sony MDR-Z7M2 cans , so reverted back to using amp8 . Have spent 2 days solid listening , back with DX229 having updated the new firmware , I'm now in a much happier place. i don't need to use high gain which i don't like and I've now got a great sounding amp9 . Switching albums varying from Spiritualized to Billie Eilish to Janelle Monae to Nick Drake , across FLAC 16&24 / DSD , I found different music lent itself better to different amps - 8 & 9 and 1mk2 , which i think ........ was always the idea

Hey, if anyone is interested, @csglinux put up a pretty interesting post on the DX220 and AK SP2000 on the AK thread.

Hahaha someone is gona get slapped at a&k thread lol. But that quiet awsome to see dx220 to rise up that high. I personally never felt into a&k game and unfortunately didnt had a chance to audition one.

But I can tell this I owned dx200 and I now own wm1z and the 1z is way better in terms sq for my personal taste and it has no hiss as dx200 do.

Now the game seems to have change and I am very intrigued by the new ibasso offerings
