So just received my DX220 and played few songs just to see how it was. Not bad, but also hasn't wowed me though but doing a burn-in and will do over the next days.

1. How much volume do you guys use with your IEMs?

2. Are you guys using the screen protector that came with the box?

The DX220 will get better with burn in. So I am using amp8 primarily so the volume question might not help with amp1 mkII as I haven't used it much. But with it04 on low gain I am about 45-55 depending on the song.

I haven't installed the screen protector that came with it. Not sure if I will or not.

Yeah i have ordered a modded Amp8 from @WindowsX , so waiting on that. On this AMP1 MKII, i am using like 105-110 on middle gain using 64 audio U12T, thought it was a lot of steps to hear the proper details.

But yes I know burn-in will improve the sound, on it now.

I upgraded to the new firmware and I had to rescan for my music in the mango app on android and it crashes when it is about 1/4-1/3 the way through and will never complete a scan. I have restarted the dx220 and cleard the app cache and data. Anyone else running into this issue?

Edit:

It is only when scanning the SD card. It works fine in Hiby player though.

I would imagine you have tried different USB C cables. I use 2 Macs and it works fine on them and shows up.

What was your power source? I left mine burning for the last 4 nights on a wall charger and power stood at 100%. But if you use a normal USB port current might not be enough to feed battery.
A normal USB 2.0 port will deliver only 0.5A, while a 3.0 will do 0.9A, but still I don't know if that will be enough - some laptops have a USB "Charging Port", mine outputs 1.5A and that is OK

My 2 cents[/QUOTE
Thanks for the advice Paulo. I have just connected to a 10 W Apple wall charger. That should help it through the night. 220 gets pretty warm just playing my FLAC files. DSD must really heat it up!
