Has it ever worked properly? A device I have with a similar digital rotary control had a bad connection on one of the four output wires, same effect, whatever way I turned the control it made no difference. It was like I was turning the control the same way.

Have you tried a factory reset? You can also do a factory reinstall of the software. The links are on the first page.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this. I currently have a DX200 that I listen to with my modded Fostex T50RP mk111 in the office or with my Heir 8A when travelling. Recently I have been hearing more details with both my headphones and earphones. I am looking to upgrade my source, since I have pre-ordered the Amp8 Fan Edition I essentially only have 3 choices for upgrading. Modify my DX200 to EX, buy a DX220 or buy a used the DX200Ti.
Which of these is likely to give me the most improvement in sound? I am leaning towards getting a DX220 and maybe modifying it to EX later on.

Amp8EX will excel to it best potentials when paired with DX200EX or Dx220EX. You can also modify a DX200Ti-EX.....but I don’t think anyone is willing to lose a 1 of 66 units. However, there is only 1 unit that is Dx200Ti-EX existed though . @DaYooper has it

I don’t know about 660, but I do use hd800S with that stock dx220 and Amp1 mkII. It sounds great and fine in driving the phones, but Of-course the best of it would be an Amp8EX . But that is purely my own opinions

Output power of AMP9 is boosted significantly, nearly as powerful as the AMP8 when in High gain.

Ok, so with all the new Streaming of Amazon Music HD has been the talk around town. I gave it a try and “OMG!” I found my new love for Dx220.

1/ Dx220 in android, APK Pure to install Amazon Prime, then I can use it to LDAC into my DMP-Z1

2/ LDAC on DX220 can do 24/96 if possible. I can do 24/48 from Amazon Music HD

3/ There is a huge different between my IPhone AAC vs LDAC , very obvious

4/ The Dx220 is so fast and snappy browsing the App, I have no complaints on the speed and the UI....not 1 bit. Oh, that Beautiful screen!

yes, another reason to love Dx220!
