Just a quick comment on ibasso’s excellent customer support. I’ve been having a few issues with my DX220 here in the UK which was imported directly from China. Paul@ibasso has been absolutely fantastic in talking me through possible firmware solutions and subsequently issuing an RMA. If anyone has any concerns about dealing directly with ibasso then rest assured you’ve nothing to worry about. First-class company, first-class customer support

Does anyone know how to get Mango player in android to update album art if you change it?

I updated some album art (in tags) on some albums on my PC, transferred to my DX220 micro SD but can't for the life of me get to see the updated art in mango app...
I've tried rescanning, deleting then rescanning, clearing cache and data from mango in settings then rescanning but evey time I rescan I just see the old art.
Mango OS shows the new art fine though, what do I have to do????

Edit: figured it out, need to delete the files from ibasso/pictures. Then rescan and the updated art is displayed.

Thats good to hear and also that you got it sorted out.
What was the issues if I may ask?

I think it has a faulty WiFi chip that is crashing android everytime it tries to start up. Mango OS still works but android freezes shortly after startup despite several attempts at reflashing the firmware

DX220 is my first proper DAP. SQ does get better with longer burnt-in. I’m enjoying it mainly in Mango OS. I wished the interface of Mango OS is more like the App though.

I initially had a problem showing album art of my alac files in the DX220 both in Mango OS and in Android. I had to use this program (https://www.mp3tag.de/en/) to resave the tagging information, then rescan the SD card. All available album art then appeared.

I also had a problem with the supplied iBasso usb c cable and I could not get the DX220 into MTP mode in one of my laptops while my other cable (FRIEQ) works on all laptops. I read this article some time ago which may explain the problem.

Yepe, MP3tags can do everything, even to tags WAV and Album-Art embedded. It will show on both android and Mango even at 1200x1250 sizes

I am starting to update the new FW for DX220 (right now it has V1.09.092) and should I go to V1.10.123 first then V1.11.140?
I have already downloaded and zipped the V1.11.140 to a micro SD card and what should I do after inserting into DX220 slot? If you have any links from Lurker0 instruction I would appreciate your time and effort.

Just go to the newest firmware and you can do it over the air, OTA or if you wish, load it to the SD card, not in a folder, and do the Local update.

I did it OTA several times but didn’t work. Now I have to try local update. So just download zip files (but do not unzip into a folder?) then insert into DX220 slot and click local update, right?

Yes.. Right...

from the setting update local, u can see the file will appear (dont unzipped it)

Looks great. I can’t tell you how many times I saw Twisted Sister back in the day. I used to hang out at Lamour’s in Brooklyn and Lamour’s East in Queens where they played like every weekend. Great music!
