Any recommendations for a 4.4mm to 2.5mm adaptor please, been looking at a Fiio one, would like value for money as well if possible
Go with Fiio... at least their QC is above average.. or I basso one or Penon, which has acknowledged brand...

Got mine for cheap from Ali, but need to reterminate to local repair(poor soldering) ... so in total is more expensive then fiio or Cayin...

Yes, I agree DMP Z1 is warm. That is where it gets interesting , get to know different signatures, and enjoy them depend on moods . Technically speaking too, I love DMP for a reason . But if you ever wanted a references and Dead-Neutral signature, find a Dx200Titanium :D

The DX200/220 are already sitting on the level of Top of the line Players of current DAP products, from Ibasso specifically and generally compare to the LPGT, N8, WM1Z...etc. It only fault is....it is too cheap. I speak from both points of view, technically speaking about build, component quality being used in comparison to other $3k DAP on the market, and sound quality too. But with Amp modules, and that is totally a winner
Yes, the balanced output is quite warm but the single ended output is neutral. You get to pick whichever you like more.

I preferred the single ended output since the balanced was a little too warm for me. The single ended has better clarity and a more transparent soundstage which I prefer.

I would be very surprised of any other thing can be build at the level of the DMP, technically speaking.
True, but it isn't really about technicalities is it? I remember at one point for you the Utopia was it, then you discovered Stax. I was simply saying that you are into trying things regardless so there will be a next thing and that is fine. Don't you freely admit to being an audio addict? Trust me mate, there will be something new on the horizon.

Ahhh, common...but I need to put a leash on my beast hahaha. Check my signature out , there is a line with "addiction" word :frowning2:
