I've never found it to be sluggish using Tidal in any way, either offline or streaming. This is a large part of why I initially bought the DX200 as well.

The *rockchip *. App on windows is for dx80.
It is one and the same app for all Rockchip-based devices. So, if you have one used for DX80, just use it for DX200.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a balanced cable for my lcdi4 and an AMP8 for my DX200. Before I do is the general consensus that AMP8 is the best balanced option thus far?

I've found the DX200+Amp8 to be a perfect "Goldilocks" pairing with the i4. The i4 is such an interesting transducer. It doesn't need as much power as full-size headphones but it wants more power than normal IEMs. So though the i4 is fully portable it wants more than what normal DAPs provide. I've been using it tethered to my stationary Moon Neo 430HAD, but it's not like it needs all that desktop power either. So amp8 is... just right.

The spacious open stage of the amp8 combined with the massive holographic stage of the i4 creates a miniature portable aural world.

Also, adapters are great for their functionality but not even pricey boutique versions can beat a straight connection. Transparency and soundstage/imaging noticeably improved when I removed the adapter for a direct 4.4 connector. Out of curiosity what cable did you order?

Is Amp3 still available? It is 2.5mm. Amp8 is the only one with 4.4mm current production
Amp 3 is still on iBasso's website to purchase

Amp8 has a little warmth and more sub-bass. I reccommend to pair with something neutral and lower sub-bass present. My Hd800S is an excellent pair. During midnight I can listen out of 70 knot of volume and that is freaking awesome

Can I put the fw on a SD card and load that way?
No. Under Windows, you need FactoryTool.
Rockchip doesn't work on my pc
You see, just "does not work" does not help to help you... I'd suggest you to search the thread for already written solutions, and, if nothing helps, describe your problem here.
