I just got an Eidolic 4.4mm plug form Double Helix to reterminate my cable. I went for the titanium barrel and it is really beautiful.

The only thing is when I opened it up I found that the 2nd ring in (R+) has a plastic cover around it. Does anyone know why? Do I just break it off?

[Nevermind, figured it out. It's not the R+. Both R+ and R- are on the base ring on either sides. I'm not sure why they went that way.]

Hi when using my dx200 and using spdif out to s ifi xdsd does it make any diff to sq using diff amp modules

Your Amp modules should not affect your Spdif. However, whatever cables you use will, and I am not sure if XDSD can even compare to your Dx200 LOL

I updated my post. I figured it out. The internals aren't like most plugs I've used. The plastic doesn't cover a transmitting ring at all.

If you are plugging your headphones into the DX200 amp module, yes. If you are plugging into the xDSD, no.

Yeah, I like the CA02 a lot. it's a great bargain. In the end though the best adapter is no adapter is no adapter right?

I have used amp5 module on dx200
and i can tell u ifi xdsd is miles ahead in sound imaging .sq .noise floor .bass
everything

Well, I hope not and DHL had been great in this respect but we’ll see...

I must say iBasso great customer service make you want to buy from them even if it’s not absolutely reasonable
If someone wants a good deal on DX200, I’ll probably post a classified with AMP1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 soon... and get AMP7 down the line

I feel very very lucky, as I nearly missed out and on top of this had second thoughts and decided to drop it (also, major kudos to @jasonho for offering me help - the extra mile and beyond - to get one) but Paul’s email brought me back to the dark side of doing the not so reasonable thing... which I am sure I won’t regret the DX200 getting like 4/5 hours a day of use every day which has been pure joy, renewed with continued awesome AMPs release

I wish there had been a DX200 or whatever you want to call it with 2 microSD support as the DX200 initially was supposed to have. I would have jumped on that right away or at the latest with one of the revisions. Alas there is no such version and I am unwilling to buy a DAP without.

You're missing out on the best sounding DAP's for the money dude. Seriously. With the cost of 256GB and 400GB microSD cards dropping every day...one slot is fine.

@hAbIrAbI the DX200 and DX150 are stellar DAP's. The best that are on the market right now IMO. You can always use an external drive via otg and or bluetooth. That will give you a ton of space.
