This is a great place to come and get the latest news. It is where I get mine.

We do not have a firm price at this time. It will be more than the DX100.

How much is/was dx100?

Mine was a 2nd batch DX100 (very soon after release), and that cost me $570, but bear in mind that that was 4 and a half years ago.

EDIT: actually, now that I think about it - that was a second payment, so first one was probably $250, making total of around $820

Early estimates of DX200 price, in this thread, were mostly before we found out how much work has gone into the DX200, to develop it to a high standard of performance. So, it doesn't surprise me if DX200 now turns out to be $950, although I think it is a shame if it is expensive, as it will put it out of reach of many ordinary audiophiles around the world.

Still, I trust iBasso to produce a DAP that sounds better than wretched Sony S-Master

I just hope they have a fully-functioning firmware

I heard they were bundling a free DX120 with every DX200 purchase!

Maybe I was misinformed...

Joking aside, I wonder how the DX120 compares to DX200 in terms of Sound Quality (I don't really care about bells & whistles)

Translation:   LPG performance, but with less hiss, when driving EE Zeus CIEMs!

Now, that (expecting a Zeus XR in some weeks) would be very nice indeed

Picked up a used DX80 recently (just out of curiousity), but that one will probably be sold after the DX200 has arrived.
Not sure if I will also sell my DX100 by that time, as I still love that daps sq / signature

1k for any dap is too much. Had to be max in the 800s really. Once you go above3 figures, even with a great player, competition is stiff. I thought the pricing of the fiio x7 was perfect albeit the product wasn't. Shows how many people are in that price bracket.
