Dx200 is definitely a top tier portable player together with so many other reasons, and that if you nit-pick the reasons ....the ultimate outcome will decide the winner, and most likely that would be your pocket telling you....otherwise

At this moment, if one is driving IEMs or portable headphones, DX200 can easily replace a whole DAC + AMP setup as seen at 10 - 50x its price. With ease. I'd also use DX200 as a dedicated DAC in a speaker top tier setup

Agree, I love Ibasso Dap's, I still listen to my DX90 (even though the HP jack is becomming intermittent) Ibasso seems to capture the esscence of music for me and the perk is they are exceptional value and pricing.

Tonight coming back to Amp1 , i don't know but i want to back Amp3 LOL.
Amp1 really good but Amp3 slightly improve .personally waiting New Amp that more powerful and slighly warmer than Amp3 .my Hd800s hungry more power ,Dx200 can't full drive it ,of course I'm not sure that any portable player can full drive it .

Hoping to produce in the future :)

Perhaps you need to try the Acoustic Research AR-M2 while waiting for that Amp5 or Amp6.

Does anyone successfully play Tidal offline? I see you can side load apps. I seen in a review of Alex did that they plan on doing an update to Google will this update allow tidal to be directly downloaded from play store?

I have AK Kann and DX200 AMP3. All I can say, DX200 wins in terms of SQ except bass. I like Kann's low freq, more detailed and textured.

But the battery life is a bit short on DX200. I really hope its possible if there is additional battery along with new AMP module.

What if one of the future Amp modules could be designed for non-portable use? It could be as large as needed, meant strictly for desktop use. Early candidate for Amp 6? And Amp 7 could be the same but a tube amp?

I have experienced before side by side (Dx200 and kann)in my opinion Ak series only Ak380 cu and sp1000 can be challenging Dx200 equal or slightly better maybe different .
