Never use wifi on my R10 since only the stock player can use the ESS hardware (and because I've yet to stream Tidal HD at $20/mth).
The custom firmware on mine improved audio quality and speed. Seems like (for me) the DX200 would mostly be an ergonomic upgrade.
The DX200 is more powerful, has the qualities of the DX100 and brings them up a notch but I will admit, and I use the Russian FW, that the DX100 is a great player and still reaches to the best with its transparent clean sound. Also you will have the choice of different amps as they become available.
Comparing the DX200 to the Sony WM1Z, the 200 sits among the top players for sure, and IMO, is better than the WM1A.
