Hi guys I have a question I don't recall seeing answered in the thread. I saw it brought up but not resolved. The question is, can you use your cell phone as the source, and the dx200 as the dac/amp? So I want to fire up a song on YouTube via phone, but have the audio play through the dx200.

I know you can do this with a PC and dx200, but I am unsure if you can do this with a phone. I have only known the USB otg on phones as a receiver of devices, and not the transmitter.
Yes, it is possible on oreo, there's an option to use as Bluetooth dac

Yes, you can, but you will need an otg cable , preferably a dual otg (so the dx200 does not charge off your phone).

Who knew? After finally getting to do a proper a/b with the dx200Ti/ampT1 with stock dx200/amp1, same phones and amp and cable and recording I am truly astounded. I might just be getting to appreciate that there can be and is a whopping difference. And to be honest even the amp8 on the regular 200 doesn't sound as full and musical as the Ti.

I still can't bring myself to put the amp 8 on the Ti though. Idk, something about the look.

yesterday night while I'm enjoying my DX200 and my IEM, about 20 minutes of listening, suddenly my DX200 shut off and I tried to press the power button and it cannot power up.

What I did was I connect to the power source via USB-C cable, it did power up and showed only left 1% of battery. I cannot believe why the battery suddenly drop from 70% to 1%.
Because it is very late, so I remove the cable from power source and went to bed.

Today, when I tried to charge DX200, battery percentage become 70% again.

@Paul,

Anything I can do for my unit ? I just purchased it on last year November.

Have you tried a factory reset?

I did a double wipe, reinstall the firmware twice as well, the auto shutdown frequently happened, sometimes the system run 2 days without flaw.

@Whitigir do you think I will have any issues if I cover most of the PWB/components with Kapton and a layer of TDK sheets? Meaning just one or 2 larger sections instead of individual components

I don't do DSD and only use it 1-2 hours at a time so I don't think heat will be a big issue

You will be just fine if you do Kapton tape first and then TDK sheets on top. I did that before, but you may want to observe the changes
