Something tells me however shops don't have boxes of DX200's waiting out the back to stock on shelves.

It's real shame iBasso guys put only one microSD slot... and I expect this DX200 will also come with terribly slow 64GB flash internal storage which takes 40 minutes to transfer 40GB. 
 
DX100 and R10 have horribly slow 64GB flash storage which takes forever to transfer even 10GB of music. I remember they were even slower than micro SD card's transfer speed.
 
Given that microSD card is not faster either, I imagine DX200 will be a very slow device overall.  This is 2017... you can get USB 3.1 C which is much faster than USB 3.0 but it's still yet to see any device which can make use of technology available today.

Exactly, the initial release expected to have bugs.  And fw changes do affect the sound.  Also, I'm not worried as much about the first two bugs, but those Japanese characters could be a deal breaker for me

Looks good and the case looks nice also. I look forward to hearing it.  I would think from what I have seen on fit and finish of the iBasso products, that the amp section fit would be pretty exact. I doubt this is something they would overlook.

Indeed. But i think it's also about light refraction.
I dont like the fact that its leather case is brown. I'd prefer the common color... Much more suitable.

Brown is pretty common. I have black, brown and orange Dignis cases and the brown for my X7 is my favorite.
