I don't hear any hissing with the Phantom with AMP8, wonder if it's because I listen a lower volumes...

Flore noise at low level music passages.
Its like a tshhhhh shhhh not a hissy squick.
You can also hear it if you play music and set volume at 0 changing high or low gain has no effect on it.

I would like also add this. When i got my amp8 it had almost no hiss. After 50h it started doing the same hiss like my 2 other amps.

Floor noises is not hisses.

Hisses is a thing that exhibit when there is something wrong in the circuitry, similar to a ground loop humz. It is on specific given instances and not always.

Floor noises is the noises that is generated directly from the processing and conversion of digital to analog steps. It can create distortions, veiled up the resolutions, muddy it up, grainy textures, harshness....etc...it degrades the sound and always does so regardless of what you connect it to!

Simply put, lower floor noise, higher dynamic range and higher cross talk (in negative -125db for example) are desirable in high-end audio equipments

Well @palihas a dx200ti and he also hear the same floore noise why @davidmolliere not hearing it why there is an inconsistency it looks like a random behavior?

No hiss and floore noise? Now we have been using the wrong terminology apparently.

i have the normal dx200 with amp1 and amp3 with andromeda. I hear no floor noise nor hisses, regardles high or low gain. But if i'm using android mode with wifi and i am connected to a 2.4 Ghz network then i hear some hisses? i don't know what it is but its audible.

I do enjoy my dx200Ti with Netflix Movies. Since the day it could to Bluetooth-DAC/Amp!

Oh, by the way, I have never underestimated Dx200Ti since I have had it. But today I want to share something I have found. It is crazy, and tremendous. Remember when I used to say that Dx200 is all about References, speed, layering, separation, and but Organic timbres is never one of the offer ? I was wrong. The Dx200 is totally capable ,all it needs is amp modules that was tuned for this . I am sure in the future, Ibasso May release an amp like this with enough demand.

I am saying this because my Amp8 is now a very organic amp module with bass lines and separations that surpass Amp1Ti and other modules I have come accross, the holographical soundstage, the vertical presentations, the sweetness and Lushy mid with an organic timbres that introduces goose bumps. When I have goose bumps with music, I call it an Eargasm X_x. It is so good that I can tell the differences between 3-4 strings instruments of the same type being played in the most complex passages, and each of them even carry it own room reverberations ? Their attacks and energy is with excellent continuity and transient respond that can not be confused. **i have never observed this performances from any DAP I have been through, not even upgraded WM1Z**.

Ok, pictures for Transistors arrays discrete amplification circuitry on Amp8. By the way, the Dx200 and Amp8 are using expensive components. Those Tantalum capacitors are also found inside Lotoo Paw Gold Touch, see the POS-Cap ?

This is so crazy, Dx200 has so much more to offer, and it is all the amplifier/module. Now I am truly sad for those devices that is $3k and higher without this module designs

Never I am open to pm for those who would want to know more and is willing to DIY. I got a few PM, but have not seen anyone reporting back about upgrading their Amp8 yet.

I will do the modification soon and am waiting for the soldering lead shipped from Japan and want to make sure which components are best to improve amp8 SQ.

Yay! My DX200TI is back home after repairing the frozen touchscreen and ibasso had double checked if there were any other problems and a battery had been replaced also. It works like a charm now!

Ok, I had tried PCM 768KHz, and it is supported by Dx200 .

Who said LPGT is better ? Technically?
