Dunu Falcon-C Flagship Dynamic Driver IEM - Discussion and Reviews

so you will no longer have a iem in the price range of the DN100 ($205)?
Assuming you are referring to the DN-1000 and the fact that we do not have a hybrid model in this price range, then yes, you are correct. But the FALCON is in this price range, right?

Currently, there are no definite plans for a DK series model that is lower-priced than the upcoming DK-2001, though this doesn't mean we've closed the door on the possibility.

As for the DN-1000, it was and still is an important model for us, mostly because of how it helped us bring what was preciously an exotic technology found only in the AKG K3003 or the UM Merlin to the masses. But we feel our newest budget models, such as the TITAN 6 and even the yet to be released DM480, have eclipsed the performance of the original DN-1000. The DN-1000 was developed in 2013. Since then, while BA technology has largely stayed the same, we have transitioned to far more advanced DDs, and we feel our products have improved alongside these emergent technologies and processes.

so many IEMs that I can never test so I never know what to buy
I have the DUNU 1000 (that I purchased many years ago just on its stellar reviews eg 9.2/10 sound quality) with cables that need to replaced so I am thinking of just buying a new IEM altogether.

How do the Falcon SQ compare to the 1000?
All this new technology and higher end models but I don't want to compromise on the SQ/signature I enjoy from the Dunu 1000.

If my understanding is correct, it should be a farily nice upgrade :)

Dunu is also coming with more new IEMs soon (?)

Hi guys! Does anyone have a cable with silver ring instead of red? My Falcons were sealed but the cable is silver under jack and the adapter has dunu branding instead of shown on pictures. Is that ok for some markets or something wrong? Not complaining just curious…

I was interested in the Dunu Luna but I don't seem to like BA headphones. The other companies are great but who really got the sound right? Maybe Sony because they were the original pioneers and second to none with their technology competition racing efforts. I grew up with sony, seeming to be disappointed when I heard the sennheiser headphone for the first time etc. but I listen less to sony's now but I'm wondering if I'm missing out on the original sound..... how electronic sound is supposed to be - acute and outright, solid, greasy electronic etc. Sony seems to be a real organic life company, their headphones sound like Existence. But those days are gone. The original sound is no more.... hardcore and valuable. It's just a sony thing I suppose. I'm bored with it given all the new options. It's like comparing plastic with metal, fabric with leather.

Sorry but you gotta read a bit slower maybe. LUNA is Be not BA as in Beryllium dynamic driver. If you don't like BA then good cause there are none in the LUNA. :)

I knew Luna was DD. I was talking about the new ones this thread is about. Doesn't seem appetising. I am going to buy the sony z1r and dita dream next so the Luna one is going to be missed. Looks cool though. Like a moon thing.

It's been a while since we have had discussion on the FALCON-C, but it's understandable when we just released the FALCON PRO not too long ago!

Because our product lines span so many years and have split into so many different threads across Head-Fi, we've received many requests from members for a consolidated discussion thread for all DUNU products, and we've taken the liberty to create one here:
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/dunu-discussion-impressions-master-thread.961127/

You're welcome to continue posting in this thread, of course, but if anyone wishes to have a centralized point of discussion and one where our team members can quickly respond to any questions, feel free to migrate over to this new thread. We'll be making a small number of announcements in the coming days, and will likely be using this new thread as the main point of discussion for all things DUNU. Thanks!
