Did you have the timing issue's the whole time with the stratus and wavelight? Or was that caused by your chain?

To be clear I think the 'timing issue' was a bogus attempt to sell me a transport device. The guy went from the Wavelight sounds 'best' with the accompanying hard-drive based platform to 'this will fix your issue.'

Given that, I do believe the issue was interaction with the chain. The Wavelight seemed to be functioning as designed once I adjusted the SU-6 dip switches to Rockna's suggested settings. Some gear just works together beautifully, and this just never beat the Holo in my setup. Again, its entirely possible that any 'flaws' I heard with the Wavelight were just in comparison to me loving the sound of the Holo Spring. To that point I now have the Holo May and have no intention of changing any time soon.

My EML Mesh 2A3s don’t glow one bit. But they sound great and are basically brand new.

I prefer my NOS 2A3s. But I don’t have a stratus. I have an Aficionado. If any one is interested in a basically brand new pair of EML Mesh hit me up. They come in their original box. I don’t use them.

I love the blue glow. Tubes with the blue sound better to me. But, my Acme 2a3's don't have it and they sound great.

That is true for older tubes. The new tubes with it newer gas such as fluorescent gas filled or so, can be glowing blue just fine
