Hi,

I've noticed that the long notes(synth, string or maybe a voice held notes) sound a little shaky/trembling on higher volume levels. This occurs more in songs which have a strong beat to them. The smoother/softer the song the lesser the shaki-ness.

Also, the low end tends to distort at low volume levels(again in songs with strong beats).

I was wondering whats are the reasons behind these things?

Thanks in advance

Your EQ is set too high and the driver can't push correctly.

Or your source is pumping out too much power

Or you amp is not pushing enough

Might you have an eq enabled?  You might be distorting on the digital level.

Thanks,I'll try to play with the eq settings a bit more. The Amp(fiio e5) i think must be more than sufficient for these 32ohm hd 448's so i don't think it's less power.

Anyway, the 'digital level",this just makes me wonder,What are those in-line DAC's we hear about supposed to do,would they help in such cases? A link or source to an explanation would be appreciated. :)

I think you are forcing your amp into clipping. Even if you are running off a soundcard (which it sounds like), it still has a little amp onboard. You're asking too much of the amp - they do these sorts of things when you're asking for more power than it can give.
