Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

Does anybody know the dimensions of the inner part of the pads? That would seem to be the only way to know whether it's on or over ear for a particular person.
I have no clue brother. I'll try to search for an answer.

Seems there was not a whole lot of media coverage this show, nor as many head-fi'ers, so we'll do our own...

The Absolute Sound mentioned Diana here...
http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/rmaf-2017-show-report-personal-portable-and-digital/

Some words we heard over and over on Diana were 'excellent job', 'love the look', 'cute', 'sounds great', 'want a black pair to match my Phi'...

And to prove we were there...

Is the thickness to the pads thicker now? From one angle it looks better now.

Very interesting perspective by that person. I saw older comments on different sites where people said they were tough to fit over the ears, that half was on hear/off ear.
Oh goody... :triportsad:

We have been continuously improving all year on very fine details all over Diana's design, refining edges and tolerances. We recently brought the parts prep and baked-on ceramic coating process in-house to control final finishing.

This last weekend at CanJam and RMAF was a near final test for fit, hundreds of varying head sizes and shapes validated changes and gave us a few more slight tweaks to be implemented into the headband and ear pads for better fit on more people.

The ear pads are now angled, they bump out at the rear bottom corner of the ear. The interior space is being compensated slightly to better accommodate the ears, foam moulds are being cut now to test.

The rest of Diana is done.

Any possibility of getting a pic on here? And are you still looking at a mid-November shipping?

This one was on the link Joe posted:

Not entirely convinced about the coffee colour, but looking good.

Driver size is only a few mm smaller than the Phi so earcups couldn't be toooo small... Pretty keen to try them out.

I was thinking more of a pic that shows the new pad design/compensation. Would have an effect on the original sound, one would guess.

I just listen to all three colour pairs . This headphone is not bad. I approve ! But not the pricing thou... (Maybe $1999)

Sound impression :
High on top
Very Neutral across
Punchy like Utopia ? Punchy in your face nonetheless I got.
Bassy sometimes. Deep.
Visceral
Staxs like ?
Mini Abyss, like a brother (I mean sister :p )

Earpads: I hated because it was firm and on ear!! My goodness man how is that even common-sense now! Who the heck wants pressure of any kind on ears.
On ear-pads should of been abandon by now!
The teller confirm many times the full final release will have a better and bigger earpads! I really hope so!

Design and bendiness of the headphone is really innovative!
