I don't understand this dissatisfaction with lack 4.4, because on high gain DTR1 have 6.4V power output and battery life 4h. If he have balanced output than battery life 2h.
Not a lot has been changed externally. Same old out of date micro usb and 3.5mm Jack and I suspect the same internal battery having only 8 hours run time.
I don't think 3.5 jack is a problem since it has a lot of power. The LPF circuit is new and I think it uses a micro USB charger but better ask him about this one. He recommends to use the Tender I with DTR 1+ because it needs a lot of power. It will be available early on limited quantities and there's a slight increase in price.
Quite a bit of letdown for me as of the current info.
Nearly identical to DTR1 with a little bit of changing and new case. Especially the charger is not USB-C, it seem to be the same micro HDMI as I see in the picture. Software vise, the L/R volume adjust is nice but it should be on DTR1 as well if it's not the hardware limitation.
Maybe it would be better than I think when the price and more information revealed.
Ok, hope we will not be dependant on that brick again. Do you have more images? Possibly it will be a default charger, but it will be possible to charge with others just slower just like with smartphones.
If this is the new Charger for the DTR1+ why even bother to use this with it's convertor from USB-C to micro USB. I am sure most people have a micro USB charger lying around in a cupboard somewhere that would to the job micro USB has been around for over 15 years.

I think it still use the micro HDMI to support changing 2 batteries simultaneously, not the micro USB. So, eliminate the various type of wall charger to only one type of USB-C charging interface is the way to go for now.
Check Anson's facebook there he has post about it. As I understand in that photo we see a comparison of the old charger and the new one. The new one seems to be a cable with a circuit board to which USB C power cable would be attached connecting the circuit board with an external power source. So power source>USC C cable>circuit board with the cable>dtr1+
