Denon's aren't very power hungry anyway

Once I have tried them with more Power I have changed my thoughts.

No issues? Debating between this and the Magnus

EDIT: Ended up getting the Magnus! Very excited for the cable + WM1Z to come. Upgrading from stock cable and FiiO Q3. While I dont believe there will be much if any audible difference between cables, I'm excited for the aesthetics, manoeuvrability, connectors, and how it's 4.4mm balanced.

How does the ZH1ES compare? I now use the PHA3 with the D9200.

Soundwise with the same usb Cable and out of DX300 I think the PHA3 is about 85-90% the ZH1ES. It was that I have tested the DENON with the Kimber balanced cable on PHA3 because in my case the cable is to short for ZH1ES.
it sounded right better in high gain.

Are You using It balanced?

This headphone is pretty crazy on my schiit magni but a little too much. I like how the xduoo hybrid tames it. Reduces the technicalities in favor of a more relaxing signature.

Update: loving the WM1Z + Denon AH-D9200 together. The Sony house sound does a fantastic job of smoothing out the highs. Improvement in soundstage and mids on the WM1Z from the Fiio Q3 as well.

Super happy. I think I've found my long-term combo. The Denon truly feels like my old Focal Clear with a more natural sound + better bass.

Awesome! You’re going to love it with the WM1A.
I tried the various new mrWalkman mods but found the stock to be the best with the denon. It preserves detail while smoothing out the treble and expanding soundstage.
