Still loving my d9200's. Kind of eyeballing the chord mojo which is on sale until the end of the day. Is it a definite upgrade?

i ordered the pads we will see what they will offer, i guess i will get them in 10 days
Cool thanks. I put in an order for the pads that @Babbage78 refers to in his post above. I ordered a pair for @jmills8 too so we'll let you know if we hear the same as what is described above. But I think it won't be delivered until mid February so you won't hear anything from us on it until later this month.

Mojo will transform the denon you need to try it at the very least.

Can anyone give accurate comparisons between the 9200 vs 3K cans such he1000se, dianna phi etc. Can the denon resolve and present the music with pure refinement in the same way 3K headphones can? I tried the mdr z1r and was not really impressed. The diana phi was excellent so if anyone can compare this against the 9200 that would be excellent. I don't have the option of trying the denon easily.

Does anyone know of a sure way to turn the mojo into a desktop amp without a battery? There seem to be lots of people with dead batteries after 18 months and an expired warranty spending over $200 to fix their mojo each time. It's a deal breaker if that's how it is but everyone says it sounds amazing so if there's another way to make it work I'm still open to it.

you are over worrying. just leave the charger plugged in 24/7 in desktop mode. when you finish listening it will then charge up fully then turn off automatically ready for your next listening session where you have a fully charged mojo waiting for you. you won't worry about this crap once you hear it.:smile_phones: the battery is fixed in and any attempt to remove it destroys both the mojo and your extended warranty. for every one complaint you have 500 happy users. once in a while run the mojo battery down to near empty.

don't worry don't do it. the mojo is rock solid. i'm trying to help you take it or leave it. you will never need to replace the battery and in case it ever happens after many years just send it to chord direct. they will do it for you. voted best dac under 500-1000 pounds year in year out.

The ball was rolling faster after PW.

I wanted to share an update...

I went after, bought and relistened to PW in 192, 24 bit...
The 9200's (with the spkm combo) play rock music so well to my taste, just wow! giving an amazing presentation... never fatiguing, 3d, fun, you name it!

Damn it man, and now I'm slowly rebuying and relistening my rock collection in 96 or higher when I find the albums... a whole new ball game

Can anyone recommend me a good place to get a custom cable made for my 9200? i need it 16 feet long and less microphonic than the original. If it sounds better too that would be great. I just don't see myself spending a fortune on a cable. Anything under $200 that would be an improvement over the stock cable plugged into a mogami gold extension pludded into a sennheiser 1/4 to 1/8 adapter? I requested a quote from impact audio cables but more ideas are welcome. Thanks!

I wish somebody would make custom cables using the Tripowin C8 iem cable's soft material. That would be so nice.

Nope, but I am hovering for deciding factors over getting the 9200 or the Audio Technica awKT.

I wish the gulf country I am expatting in had an enthusiasts store.

I noticed you sig has the jvc victor hp dx1000. Those things were awesome. Used to own them. Swivel plastic part cracked, tried to have them fixed, but they got lost in transit. I should have just ghetto held it together with putty and stuff.
