Yep, Jason is the guy to talk to. I believe, his extension is 150.

Same here. I got my 5000s and 7000s form Electronics expo and I had no problems with them. Both headphones were brand new in the boxes.

I got my pair brand new through Electronics Expo as well.  Paid $650.00 for them 18 months ago.  If they're monkeying around with the D7000's, they must be good not to have gotten caught by now.

This headphones sound well with everything, including classical

How does this headphone sound with classical? Apologies if it's been answered. Didn't read thru the whole thread.

I think they sound very good with well recorded classical.  A good amount of classical seems to be very quiet compared with other music so it does not have the impact of say most electronic music.  But again this sound very good to me with most music.

Classical music is recorded with much greater dynamic range, so much of it is quieter than people (not used to listening to classical) are used to.

I really like the flexibility of the D7000's. Unlike some headphones that may be very good to excellent in one genre. The Denon D7000 shows great finesse across many genres. A diverse music library owner's dream.

Works great with classical.  Ironically, I bought my Sennheiser HD600s for classical yet I use them more for other genres other than classical and the Denon's are used more for classical.

IMO the Denon's shine for those times you can't jam a movie on a 5.1 system.  The bass on these really makes movies enjoyable with headphones.

I agree... the D7k is master of anything acoustic. Classical is wonderful with these. Bluegrass, Folk, Jazz... also excellent.

I'd just wait a tad, Electronics Expo throws up the "open box" D7000's pretty often.

The ED8s are probably the best closed headphones.
