I have been thinking about buying T2+ with Arce, so I can use the T2+ clocks to improve the streamer further still. Big investment...
Which one of your DACs do you intend to replace by the T2+? The Adagio or the S5?

You won't regret it. I've owned my T+ for almost 2 years and don't plan on replacing it, unless it's a T+ 12th.

Sorry for OT. I had so far the impression that you are very pleased with the performance of the S5. May I ask what are your reasons to replace it.

I am happy with it. It's a superb DAC. T2+ is something that's been on my mind for a long time; particularly the idea of using the clock outputs.

As Denafrips first streamer, its firmware and app are still evolving.There are occasional sound jams in more than 4 or 5 hours of continuous playback, sometimes they don't occur for a day, sometimes they occur once or twice a day, and the manufacturer promises a firmware upgrade to fix it.

Despite the occasional stutter I have such an improvement in sound quality it will be worth it in the end. It is truly a shame the I2s has not been sorted out with a standard. Evan when pairing Denafrips to Denafrips it is a bit of trial and error with the settings, at least you don’t have to fiddle with pin outs on plugs.
In my system, as a ROON bridge, the AURALIC G1.1 USB to PONTUS 12-1 with the ARCE COAXIAL to PONTUS 12-1 sounds very similar. But compared to the overall functionality and APP of the G1.1, the ARCE is a long way off.
As a ROON user, I am very happy with the ARCE.

The funny thing you would think Denafrips would recognize its own kin but you need to kind of trial and error the config to make it work. Good thing there are only 4 different settings on the dac to change. I am surprised changes in digital processing would make such a difference, when they say bit perfect delivery it would all be the same.
