Please take your EQ blatherings to a new thread? We are here for impressions and reviews of DCA Stealths thanks.
Another no... And again, what I think about the anti-EQ-ism in "audiophile" community...

DCA Stealth vs. Kennerton Rognir - will someone think of the children and get these two HP's to compare side by side before Canjam? lol
I would love to get the Stealth and compare it to Rögnir, but I don't know when Stealth will hit the shores of EU. Any idea on that @mrspeakers ?

The Stealth could become by only headphone (maybe I will leave also an openback), if it is that close to an open back, plus portable aaand good bass with good tonality - though I have no problems with EQ. Last two years I have been at home but will probably start commuting next year. I used to carry around a Stellia everywhere I go (which is now gone), and Rögnir is great but I wouldn't carry it around. Stealth seems to be the ultimate HP for commuters.

How is the Rögnir compared to the HE1000se?

With the Brainwavz gaming pads, they have a similar tonality but Rögnir is more neutral, especially in the bass. But there are some differences related to the build like, HEKse is open, thus larger stage with better separation (but some might find it unnatural and disjointed), taller / bigger drivers, so taller / bigger image.

Luckily I had an Aeon Closed so got my DCA discount now, I'd rather order from them directly and get hit with the EU customs rather than buying from EU where it will still be expensive!
Me too with several pricy purchases that are cheaper from US even with customs fee. Except if anything goes wrong and needs to be sent back there, which potentially risks another EU customs charge.

How much are the customs fee usually? I assume they would add up to at least 40% including vat

Whenever I've worked it out, the EU retail price is almost always the same as the US price plus customs and VAT (there's an on line calculator somewhere). Of course, the only way to circumvent it is to lower the declaration of value, which I've done. When's it been successful, it's great because you're saving considerably. But it's a risk and depend on your tolerance for anxiety (both in terms of insurance and also in terms of an arbitrary inspection by customs).

I believed the seller was the responsible for declaring the parcel’s value.

For actual declared value, yes. But my point above was that in many circumstances it's possible to discuss with the seller about lowering fees. Some will, some won't. (Edit: I would also add: if seller does declare lower value, generally it's buyer's responsibility if anything goes belly up).

For actual fees, there's generally an option when sending to select if buyer or seller covers any potential fees, and it's invariably the buyer who would cover those fees.

Anyway....this is all rather off-topic!
