I can’t understand 1.5A correlated to output power, can some one chim in
In my experience,
Liric II is said to be easier to drive, but with FiiO BTR15, I need to turn it up all the way to 100% and I think it is not quite there.
BTR15 rated 340mw @32ohm.
If it can’t drive Liric 2 to satisfied level, it can’t driver E3.

Good info, thanks! Questyle looks like a good option.

It appears that other than the xlr option, the dca 4.4mm Vivo cable is also a balanced cable option, if I’m not mistaken

If that’s correct, if that’s true, it seems better to get the 4.4mm option so to be able to use them with a balanced portable amp.

And then just get a simple 4.4m to 1/4 cable adapter for use in the studio with 1/4 amp options there.
If that makes sense..

This makes sense for sure, however I found the Vivo cable too bright and a bit harsh on trebles, I replace the cable by a Forza Audio works noir which give a better sound with better bass well extended and smooth the high frequencies very aggressive from 3 kHz

When I search for closed back headphones, the E3 comes up again and again as possibly the best one bar none. However, I’m concerned about comments that the positioning affects the sound. Dan mentions it almost as a feature, but I’m not so sure. Anyone have issues with positioning? I can’t imagine having to worry about having to maintain the headphone in the same position on my head at all times.

Ahh.. more money 🥴 ..may not be an option when considering the E3 + a port amp solution.

I tried different positions for them when I first got them to try and tame the shoutiness and didn’t find it changed the sound for me. After a day of listening the shoutiness disappeared though. It may vary from person to person.

Thanks for the answer. Would you say that it’s like any other pair of headphones in that regard?

Generally because of ear anatomy the headphone for most users will pick up some 3K emphasis as you move the headphone back on the head. It’s pretty predictable for most users, so if you want a little more lively upper midranges you keep your ears centered in the pads and if you want it a little stepped down, you move the headphone a bit down and forward. I do actually consider this a feature in that this is a region that varies based on your individual ear, which may or may not resemble the ears on measurement rigs. Some ears will have more 3K gain than the measurement setup, some less, so this gives a degree of control over this region that otherwise is rather random. Is it a feature? Not quite. But it is, IMHO, a benefit. I am a
