Just wanted to point out a not very well known site that i think is great for buying headphones. They have very good prices, especially on the refurbished phones. Refurbs are essentially new, but much cheaper. I got my HD428's for $24 and love them.
 
No, I'm not affiliated with them, I just thought head-fi should know about this site. You might have to do a little digging to find the gems on there. They sell under the name DAHMART on amazon also.
 
they've got: D1001k's for $60, HD555's for $60, D5000s for $390m etc. Mostly senns and denons

Dakmart customer reviews run the gamete from 1 star to 5 stars. Their prices are good but there are way too many bad reviews for me to send them money.

When you order from amazon, they're called dahmart and that gives you added protection.
 
I've bought D7000 and HD598.  There were no problems.

 "Like new" Sennheiser hd 239 from their Amazon account.   Arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition.  Don't expect a box or warranty....obviously.
