So i've been reading up and searching the web for a few days now and I must admit, things do look kinda confusing.
I'd really appreciate it if you would share your thoughts/opinions/suggestions.
 
I'm looking at DACs below 1000, and have narrowed them down to these:
 
 
Audio GD's Reference 5.2 DAC
or
Musical Fidelity M1 DAC
or 
Cambridge DacMagic
or
Tubemagic's D2
or
Music Fidelity V-DAC Mk2
 
A friend of mine recommended the Lavry DA11 as a one stop shop for me because it has good built in headphone amps as well.
Another friend recommended the Benchmark DAC1.
 
Any thoughts on these?
I'd love to buy them all and test them out one by one but I just don't have the cash to do so.
Also, its hard to find a place with good return policy for the Lavry DA11
 
I'm a PC based user, and as mentioned I am using the M-Audio BX8 D2 active monitors and a pair of grado ps500.
My system is mainly used for video editing and sound design (plus a bit of gaming).
 
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!
