ok, so ive had a pair of hd280s for a while now and have wanted to upgrade a few times but never could commit the cash.
but im pretty sure that im gonna do it this time. what im looking for is a set of headphones and a dac/amp for 200-300 bucks.
i know this isnt a whole lot to work with and i appologise.
i mostly listen to indy,rock,and electronic. (examples being: cloud cult,radiohead, nine inch nails, daft punk, etc)
i have the majority of my music on my computer in flac. some of it being 24/96 stuff.
now ive listened to a friends grado sr60s and was unimpressed. (also im pretty sure im alergic to the foam pads)
ive also listened to another friends hd555 and really enjoyed it. im currently just going from my computer into a sony reciever through spdif and out into my hd280 pros.
any ideas?
p.s. my ultimate goal is to eventualy have enough cash for a pair of hd650s and a nice tube amp but i cant affford it just yet.
