So has everyone who has sent there 'phones in had positive results? I'm extremely hesitant to send my only pair of high-end headphones to a different country.

(Also, anyone think that the Westone 3's are worth their price? Amazon has a few for under 400..... or how about the IE8's?)

EDIT AGAIN: The page about remolding is all in Chinese......great......

Can someone also give me a rough estimate on what I will be spending?

it's around $86-$90 USD to get them remolded. Not very pricey i would say.

IMO, the Westone 3 and the IE8 are worth it, but if you like the TF10 sound sig, i would stay away from the IE8. The Westone 3 might be ok.

I myself am not getting any earphones remolded but getting a custom monitor MADE by UniqueMelody themselves.

Seems very intriguing. You'll have to put up a review after you receive them.

So for the TF's....UM adds a 4th armature, correct?

i have yet to hear anything bad from anyone about this company

people who have got their remolded earphones have expressed positive feedbacks, whether with or without additional drivers, be it in SQ improvement or the overall build quality

and if you read through the thread i think you will find some have their tf10 remolded

i think it's about $100-120 to get remolded depending on your model and there are prices all over the place in this thread
if you dont mind spending a little effort looking for them

Yeah, it seems that some of the prices vary, depending on the company used. Hopefully I can contact Sam and get this ball rolling!

UM only adds a fourth driver if you pay for it. it's 1000rmb, or about $150.

Well it depends, Brittany from JH Audio said that around this age the ear doesn't change much from now. So i may not be saying goodbye to my ES3X =), i'd pay to get them reshelled if i have to
