crinacle's IEM Ranking List

Shuoer Tape? Anyone think this should be on the hype monitor? Anyone have any real comparisons? They look intensely interesting, yet due to reviewers almost always factoring in cash ( crinnacle not having reviewed them yet), it's really hard to figure out if they are worth buying despite owning iems like the ex1000 (which I didn't like until I tried tips I got a year or so later that actually fit me (flare audiophile foams on sale half price), I really like them now but bgga(bad guy good audio) replied in comments that the tapes are even more detailed than specifically the ex1000. What does someone who has them think? Are they super detailed? What about compared to the kse 1200/1500? Seriously!?

From the looks of the graph alone, the Tin T1 looks really interesting

@crinacle, What contributed to the KSE1200's drop from S= to S-?
Did you see his October mixup post? Crin's justification was:

The new criteria for S ranking sits as follows: top-level technicalities with minimal/no sacrifices or weaknesses. The KSE1200’s midrange tonality and treble spike are far too dangerous quirks for this criteria.

I looked at the responses and I thought meh at the price, but I'll give it a listen to see how it's like.

I think LX is pretty well balanced in the upper frequencies, but it has that typical BA resolution, nothing out of this world. The bass is significant, but it's done in a way that I find the bass interesting. I never thought I was a basshead.

Phantom has got to be the worst value iem next to VE8. VE8 doesn't have much technicalities. Phantom sounds really odd, lacking dynamics, and I believe it's due to the compressed looking upper frequencies.

Elysium has significant amount of treble in the 8k, so it's an example of an Electret that has treble lift. I find Electret treble sounding different from BA, at least with Elysium. It sounds thinner, more separated and sparkly compared to BA.

That graph is super flat. I wonder if it was a typo, and @crinacle really meant the TinHifi P1 and not the T1.

The super flat graphs are usually characteristics of planar drivers.

No, it's the original single DD T1 from Tin HiFi.
