Cowon Plenue 2 - Taking it a step further.

I wonder if P2 has a screen protector pre-applied on it or it must be bought separately.

I don't think screen protectors come with any of the Cowon products? I have the P1 and didn't get one. It's ok as if they included one it would be a good markup but instead you can get them dirt cheap on Ebay or Amazon.

I knew that someone will replay that way.
I was talking about mW per channel @ 32 ohm.
Try to answer that now:grinning:

P = V^2 / R
P = 2^2 / 32 = 4 / 32 = 1/8 = .125 = 125mW

This is also interesting for me, because Plenue S had plenty of power and did not fall over until about 13 ohms, whereas Plenue 1 did collapse sooner, at around 50 ohms. I'm curious to see whether Cowon designed the Plenue 2 amp based around the Plenue S or Plenue 1 philosophy.

This is a crude graph I made, so the values may not be accurate but you get the general idea.

You can convert vrms to W with an online converter for a given ohmage

P = V^2 / R
P = 2^2 / 32 = 4 / 32 = 1/8 = .125 = 125mW

That's an idealistic scenario for an infinite power source.

The main issue with these DAPs is that it runs out of current at low impedance loads.
So a specifications voltage or power at a particular impedance does not correlate nicely at lower impedance loads.

Obviously, but if you want an empirical answer, you'll have to wait until folks have the device and can take real world measurements.

Even then, the answer is simplistic -- nearly all the music I listen to uses frequencies other than 1 kHz :xf_eek:

It seems like Cowon is organizing an exchange program for players from other brands?! For instance you send your DX200 and get a 540$ discount on a Plenue 2. This seems incredible, unless my understanding is wrong.

I suppose only in Korea...

I wonder how much they will subtract from giving in the Cowon PD?

Is it available for purchase in US yet? I cannot find any one carrying it.
