I apoligize, I was referring to the connector at the bottom of the cable. Straight ones seem to break or fray on me faster as I tend to be a very mobile person while listening to my music than the L-shaped ones.

thanks for all your replies! I forgot to mention that I wear glasses, too. But on stage I wear contact lenses.. tricky situation. I think it's probably best to have both cables.

does anyone else find that the rockboxed dx50 goes really well with the BA4? I've added a -6db precut and a +6db for 32hz, 3db for 64 and 1.5 for 120hz and I think it sounds FANTASTIC.

Yep, like the ma1 I have a lot.  It's one of many regret's that the 2's drivers was a bit too big for my shells or that would have been me sorted.  It could be a nice little backup combo along with a sansa clip plus to keep in your bag or whatever in case you forget your main rig or battery runs out
