I was surprised how small that car was when I saw one in person.

I think I'm missing the particular gene that most males are allocated at conception that makes men think of cars with the same lust as of a naked woman. So I haven't driven too many muscle cars. I drove a Camaro IROC-Z (?sp) once, that ruled. This was a rental, while on vacation, in California, with my dad (I was like 16-18? at the time).

Also, this one time, I was out on assignment in Illinois, and when I went to rent a car, they were out of the small ones that I usually get. So they upgraded me (at the same price) to a Ford Thunderbird. What they didn't realize was, I think they accidentally gave me a Turbo. I think the thing had like 15 miles on it. I was waiting to merge with traffic, and when I saw a small-to-reasonably sized opening, I stomped the gas. It went nowhere, spinning the tires. I've never done that before, it was a pretty awesome feeling. It was nice having such a responsive car.

All of my cool cars have been rentals. I got a convertible in Hawaii once.

You are not the only one, I couldn't give a rat's ass about cars, I have never been into them and don't even like them! This thread is like Alien talk to me, one of those things that I never understood. I do love naked women though

I'll chime in here a little. My best ride was my friend black Dodge Viper GTS through the University BlVD. He said, with this car, many sorority girls flash him their goodies. I wish I have a car like that. This guys once drove a Corvette, then trade it in for the Explorer. He is the only son of contractor in a little town of Tuscaloosa.

My best drive would be my dad's Mercedes E300 w/ twin turbos. Nice luxo w/ very respondsive horsepower. The handling is very impressive.

A classmate of mine had borrowed this some time ago:

Kleemann Kompressor E 55 K
Basis: Mercedes Benz E 55 AMG _
Engine: 404 KW / 550 BHP
- at 5800 rpm, 710 NM - from 2000 rpm

Looks pretty much like a "standard" Mercedes E-class but goes from 0-100kph in less than 5 seconds and from 0-300kph in less than 30 (!!!). And I haven't even started talking about the sound it makes.....

I walkin' with a boner right now.

Head-fi member Angel Teres just took delivery of a spankin' new Ferrari 360 Modena F1. He came by to visit me in the hospital last week and promised to let me drive it when I got out.

We went on a killer high speed run on the backroads through to southern suburbs of Chicago. This thing is fast and the F1 paddle shift is super-trick. It is about as difficult to enter and exit as as any car I have ever driven but once you are in.......

I gotta say that the 360 is a Chick magnet. Everywhere we went we got big stares and people were trying to look in the car. The computer for the shift control is very forgiving and shifts very quick. It even blips the throttle for you on downshifts and double clutches on full-throttle upshifts. The exhaust note of the 360 should be recorded as fine music. It sounds amazing and adds to the excitement of driving a car like this.

Mr. Teres allowed me to do a big smokey burnout and the noises coming from this thing sound downright illegal. A foot-to-the-floor launch is greeted with series of blinking lights and a rev-limiter warning buzzer along with the smell of the burning tires and the carbon/kevlar clutch. The engine sound is the voice of God and the high pitched wail will put a chill up your spine.

The Z06 was much faster(it's gone now) but the driving experience of the Ferrari is unmatched and I thank Angel for making me feel a lot better.

I had a chance to drive in a Ferarri about 10 years ago probably, can't remember what model it was but it was one of my uncles rich neighbors cars. It was awesome!

My friend Wally Castro gave me a ride in his Marlboro GP Ford Mustang at a racing track. The car was built by Jack Rousch Racing of Livonia, Michigan for $235K, and it had 660 HP motor under the hood! So it was a blast!

In 1995, the Castro-Falgueras Ford Mustang came in 5th at the Daytona 24 Hour Race. It made it to the finish with a broken transmission. First in that class, was legendary Hollywood actor, Paul Newman, in another Rousch Racing Ford Mustang!

FUNNY STORY...
The people of Rousch Racing came to Puerto Rico to see their hand built Mustang race for the first time. I will always remember their comments. Here's one: "Man, the sky is very, very blue, and those clouds are very, very white. I thought the ad photos were retouched somehow!" He, he! Colors in the tropics are brighter because we are closer to the Equator. So colors do pop at you! Of course, this is one of the reasons why we get so many tourists during the winter season!
