Connecting studio monitors to unbalanced source

What cable to connect studio monitors (with RCA and XLR inputs) to unbalanced source?

I actually do like the look of them, but the smallest model they have is the same price as the Focals I have now. Unfortunately they don't have the bass port at the front or bottom, so I can't put them as close to the wall.

Funny thing: Purely by coincidence, I was researching the Genelec 8010A for the past few hours. They're pretty tempting, though I'd need a subwoofer.

@Frank161 can test whether it audibly colors the sound compared to the SYS, at any rate.
Just wanted to let you know I still haven't been able to test if I can hear the difference between the SYS and Vali 2, because someone here in Belgium lost my package... :angry:

Edit: I can confirm the pre-out on the Vali 2 does color the sound with the standard tube. It's hard to describe, but I guess it's a bit muffled and there is perhaps a bit less bass and treble. I can't tell exactly what it does to the sound as it is hard to hear.
