1. You are the first person that I can remember making this claim. You can only select line-level immediately after switching on.

Setting Mojo to Line-Level (e.g. for use with a Preamplifier or Active Loudspeakers, etc.) (Click to hide)

To set the output level to 3V ( line level ) for connection to a preamplifier press both volume buttons
together when switching on the unit. Both volume balls will illuminate light blue. This mode is not
remembered so when you switch off it will reset back to the previous volume stored for safety reasons.

 1. Some users have reported this, when some external power supplies switch into trickle charge mode, as the battery approaches fully charged. Chord have responded that this is not a problem with the Mojo, so don't worry.

Thank you for your response. Regarding to issue 1,just to be more specific: I could not switch it to line level mode only while charging it. I can only do it while it is only using battery.

I think I figured out why I couldn't enter 'Line Level Mode' when power cable is connected:

Mojo cannot be really turned off when connected to power, after you press the power button for 2 seconds, it enters a 'Hibernation' state. And when you try to turn on a hibernated mojo, you are actually trying to wake it up.

To tell if a Mojo is being waken up or being powered on, you need to look at the power button light. After pressing the power button, if the light continues change its color for a few seconds, it means mojo is being power on; If the light becomes stable instantly, it means mojo just woke up.

When power is connected, since you cannot switch a Mojo OFF , so you cannot switch a Mojo ON(you can only wake it up), so you cannot change mojo working mode. Mojo will stay in one mode until you disconnect the power cable and reboot it again ( with only one exception: If mojo is 'Line level mode', pressing any volumn button will switch the mode back to 'Normal')

Under only one condition, you can switch mojo to 'Line Level' mode when power cable is connected: Mojo was turned OFF before power cable is connected. Since Mojo is not in 'Hibernation' state, the first time you press the power button will swtich mojo on(not wake up), during the 'switching on'(or color changing) phase, press both volume buttons will swtich mojo to 'Line Level Mode'.

Note that: connect a OFF mojo to power will not switch it to 'Hibernation' state.

Hi there ,
My Mojo arrived yesterday, and I am having some issues and questions.
I am using the Mojo with my Asus padfone s via USB. I wanted to be extra smart and use a hard OTG adapter with USB female so I could use a jitterbug.(dont have one yet, so no impressions)
I have experienced disconnections while playback, and since I read the Faq now, I think the adapter / cable combination is the reason for it ....
Or so I thought... I changed the Cable and the Problem remained.
It seems that USB Audio Player Pro is causing the issues.
I tryed many USB settings and it seems like the only option is to set my mobile Not to turn oft display...this is Not geraten!

I read that Audio Technica makes a good 0.15m OTG micro USB cable.
Also still interested in the jitterbug implementation, maybe with another short micro USB to USB female cable instead of the adapter...and then I will get the Curious Hugo link .
Did anyone try eather of this or does anyone know if the jitterbug would work?
Another issue just shows Up, I cant get a connection from my good old Cowon J3 via coax. What Kind of coax cable do I need.
Sorry if this is confusingly written, but things happened during the process of writing and the ancient kindle I am writing this on cant get over the fact that ist not german.

Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick, really sorry to reply to such an old post of yours but did you end up getting the Curious USB link for your Mojo? I wanted to ask if you can use the charge port at the same time as using the Curious microUSB? Or is the Curious microUSB so big, that you can't charge at the same time?

Cheers !

Hey there Em2016,

I did not buy a curious cable, so I can't comment on that issue.

I think that you should send them a mail, they respond quickly.

The reason I didn't buy the cable, back then was that I was using my phone exclusively as source.
I mentioned that in my email and was advised, that this would not be optimal... so I went for FORZA Hybrid OTG

Cheers

Just received my new mojo. Pairs brilliantly with my iPhone 7, love it to bits. Coax connection out of my QA360 DAP is also amazing.

But, My Macbook Pro Retina (running Sierra) as well as my iPad Pro (running newest OS) will absolutely not pair over USB & Camera connection kit.

Tried restarts, software updates to see if either will pick it up, but they won't. I have the black dragon USB from moon audio, and as I said, it's working fine out of my iPhone 7.

Has this sort of issue been covered before? What's going on? And side note, I am not plugging the USB into the charging port...

Thanks!

You'd think this would have been covered but I can't find it anywhere. Even googling 'Chord mojo not pairing / recognised by MacBook pro' doesn't give me any others that have had the issues. Just the support solutions, which pretty much include everything I tried before looking this up: Try a different cable, clean USB ports.

Still no luck. I suppose I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has had this issue, and thought this thread was a good place to start?

Are you using a beta version of iOS?

I just bought mojo a few days ago and I like the sound quality
very much. However, I am experiencing problems with it:

1. Line Level mode. I am not able to switch mojo to line level mode when a
power cable is connected to it. "Press both volume button" method only
works when power cable is disconnected.

2. Hissing Noise. Even though not affecting quality of sound coming out of
headphones, I do hear a hissing noise generate by the bottom of the mojo
when mojo is fully or nearly fully charged.

I encountered these 2 issues with 2 different mojos. I guess it is a common
issue of mojo? Is my mojo broken and need to be replaced or those 2 issues
are software or hardware bugs?

Please tell me if there is any solutions.

Thank you

Has anyone experienced the Mojo keeping its 3V setting even after turning off and on again? It happened twice to me. Fist time, it almost killed my Fitear 335. Luckily I notice the huge hiss at the beginning of the song and unplugged it quickly. Second time, I saw the volume balls was illuminated in violet and had to decrease the volume (usually they are pink-ish).

The Mojo remembers what volume you had last and does not reset when you turn it off.

Line out mode is an exception, unless you have pressed a volume button while in it. Then the volume you set will be saved, if you did not change volume in Line out mode, it will not save to 3V for obvious reasons.

Note that my newest replacement unit have the hiss all the time when in trickle charge mode. That included trying an even quieter PSU from iFi.

If you can hear it when you can a few cm from the unit, that is normal. But if you can hear it across the room and beyond, it's faulty.

So Can I please ask a question. My chord Mojo Keeps switching Itself off every time I can it on the move with my iphone. I have already taken one back to the shop and they changed it for me. However I have a new one and the same problem is happening. However I have just noticed that the charging light is flashing red. Is it the case that if it is not fully charged it will keep cutting out. I am charging it now with my fingers crossed. as I have bought loads of new cables and that doesn't seem to help.

Flashing Red means it needs charging.
